It’s just the flu, bro.

Spain to have a registry of those who refuse vaccine. This registry will be provided to other EU nations. 1984.

Fear porn- “Mutant” strain of Coronavirus found in Colorado.
Bottom line is that each person is responsible for their own immune system. I don’t care how mutant it is...healthy people will almost always be fine.

I think I have an effective retort when someone says “don’t you care about granny?”, which is “I care more about granny’s freedom than I do about her life”.
“In both cases the policies are an imposition on personal freedoms.”
You personal freedom ends when you enter someone else’s property. You don’t want to abide by the rules in my house? Stay out of my house!
You don’t want to obey your employer’s rules? LEAVE!
‘Freedom includes freedom for employers to set employment conditions for people they hire.’
what is your position on an employer requiring employees to not smoke nor imbibe certain liquors in the privacy of their own homes, on the grounds that health concerns in the future may compromise their productivity...?
‘Word out this afternoon is that half the deputies walked out in protest. Good.’
well, it appears they engaged in exactly the option that the individual you are arguing with suggested doing if you dislike an employment mandate...and you agree with that action...
fwiw I agree with you, regarding overreach by private businesses imposing questionable mandates based on stupid and fallacious government diktats...
“what is your position on an employer requiring employees to not smoke nor imbibe certain liquors in the privacy of their own homes”
1 - Irrelevant to the discussion. A business that requires someone to get a vaccine is worried about disease spreading in their workforce at the workplace.
2 - But if a company wanted to make that a condition of employment, their big problem would be having no way to monitor it. Some Christian schools DO have a morals clause in their contract and will, if some prohibited behavior comes to light, fire that employee.
YOU PEOPLE ARE NOT SLAVES! You CHOOSE your employer. If you don’t like the conditions, DON’T TAKE THE JOB!
Y’all act like a bunch of liberal weenies! You are free to work where you will, or not! And an employer can say what is required for the job. Don’t like his terms? Just say no!
You have no conservative basis for using government power to impose YOUR WILL on your employer.
Nope. A home, and a place of commerce are two different things. Rules in commerce may not impose on individual health, they cannot tell me what foods to eat, and they may not insist that I put my health in danger. This vaccine has not even been approved.
Thankfully, real conservatives do not agree with you on guns in workplace parking lots. And our legislatures do not agree with you.
“You have no conservative basis for using government power to impose YOUR WILL on your employer.”
And the employer has no conservative basis to impose government agency edicts related to health on their own employees.
“well, it appears they engaged in exactly the option that the individual you are arguing with suggested doing if you dislike an employment mandate...and you agree with that action...”
But it is a government agency. So it is a government imposition. It appears that the walkout was in protest.
“A weapon locked inside your trunk is useful for self-defense...how?”
Because it can be holstered as soon as one is off the private property, for the commute to and from work, plus any stops in between.
Good thing the red state legislatures do not agree with you. The gun lobby groups do not agree with you. But the Democrats do agree with you.
BTW these businesses better stop lobbying the govt on policies like guns and vaxx, or the idea that they are simply private enterprises going about their business is out the window, isn’t it?
“And the employer has no conservative basis to impose government agency edicts related to health on their own employees.”
His choice. Your choice if you work for him.
“His choice. Your choice if you work for him.”
Good thing the red state legislatures do not agree with you. The gun lobby groups do not agree with you. But the Democrats do agree with you.
