‘Freedom includes freedom for employers to set employment conditions for people they hire.’
what is your position on an employer requiring employees to not smoke nor imbibe certain liquors in the privacy of their own homes, on the grounds that health concerns in the future may compromise their productivity...?
“what is your position on an employer requiring employees to not smoke nor imbibe certain liquors in the privacy of their own homes”
1 - Irrelevant to the discussion. A business that requires someone to get a vaccine is worried about disease spreading in their workforce at the workplace.
2 - But if a company wanted to make that a condition of employment, their big problem would be having no way to monitor it. Some Christian schools DO have a morals clause in their contract and will, if some prohibited behavior comes to light, fire that employee.
YOU PEOPLE ARE NOT SLAVES! You CHOOSE your employer. If you don’t like the conditions, DON’T TAKE THE JOB!
Y’all act like a bunch of liberal weenies! You are free to work where you will, or not! And an employer can say what is required for the job. Don’t like his terms? Just say no!
You have no conservative basis for using government power to impose YOUR WILL on your employer.
