Readily available anti-parasite drug, Ivermectin scrutinized as COVID-19 remedy
Washington Examiner ^ | 12/18/2020 | David Hogberg, Healthcare Reporter

The anti-parasite drug ivermectin has recently garnered attention as a drug that could prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and perhaps even treat the symptoms.

The "data show that ivermectin is effectively a 'miracle drug' against COVID-19," Dr. Pierre Kory said in testimony last week in front of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

Kory, a pulmonary and critical care specialist at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, is a member of a group of doctors calling themselves the Front Line Covid-19 Critical Care Alliance. The FLCCC Alliance has published a review of the research that it claims shows that not only can ivermectin prevent COVID-19, it can also improve outcomes for COVID-19 patients.

Yet critics are highly skeptical. Georgi Momekov, a faculty member in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Sofia in Bulgaria, said the review contains "several flaws [that] significantly limit the possibility to use it as a guide for evidence-based conclusions and practice recommendations."

Indeed, the evolution of perceptions of ivermectin as a COVID-19 remedy has in some ways copied that of hydroxychloroquine. That drug was highly touted as a possible treatment for COVID-19 after President Trump said in March he was taking it. The Food and Drug Administration even gave hydroxychloroquine a compassionate use authorization as a treatment for COVID-19. It later rescinded it after more research showed the drug was not effective at treating the virus.

But Kory claims that the case of ivermectin is different.

"That is a conclusion based on interpretation of a number of trials," Kory told the Washington Examiner. "And the magnitude of the difference between the controls and the intervention with ivermectin is dramatic and large."

HCQ is great into the early stages. Proven fact at this point.
And I never said it was so great after that. But it is not useless either. You like to pretend that you are some kind of professional. Many so called professionals are nothing more than political hacks at this stage. You just seem to spew a lot of gas.

Does anyone know what happens if the pour on ivermectin is used on humans and what a possible dosage might seem appropriate?

My wife and I have been taking Quercetin zinc and D3 since March. No Covid, and we’re in RGV south Texas which was a major hot spot for months over the summer. Drs here are using Ivermectin with patients with good results.

Thanks. That’s what I figured. Sorry that happened in your family, but I’m happy to hear it didn’t spread in your at the party caught it.

You might be interested in these stats that my nephew sent me about active outbreak sources in Michigan. He HATES the Governor and what she is doing there.
• 44% nursing homes (all regulated by the state health department)
• 13% manufacturing
• 12% schools
• 1.5% small social gatherings (16 out of 1,049)

I don’t pretend I am a profession dear friend. I am a professional. Tell me your experience treating this disease. I am on the way to work this very Christmas morning to continue to treat and ICU full of CoVId

I don’t speak theoretically. I speak from experience. For the last full year as i believe we have had ir circulating since last Christmas. And there are labs that now prove it.

It seems to me you simply pick and choose what you want to believe by reading it in the net. Experience of multiple physicians on this forum all is about the same. It’s not just me you insult (were inclined to feel insulted by you, I do not) but every other physician who puts their life on the line each day taking care of those who are sick with this disease. But it’s yourself you insult for not listening to and understand if the data that are presented.

In an event my ministry today is to tend the ill then return home to my family to celebrate the birth of the Savior. There are an awful lot of doctors today doing the exact same thing while you and your ilk sit at home bejng keyboard warriors convincing yourself of the relevance of your voice on this issue. It is not relevant. It is not correct. And it is embarrassing for you. Perhaps in time you will grow in discernment to realize the truth and not be deceived.

I’ve been using it on my dogs for years. Just about 1/16 of an inch in a syringe per dog, monthly, keeps heartworms away.

i am pretty freaked out at the idea of taking horse paste but still ended up getting some in case I cant get a script.

i might try your idea of on the skin.

if i dont use it I can always use it for my dog which is the rationale I got for buying..plus it was only 2.99

I would do the farm stores vaccines for the dogs if I thought I could get away with it with my dog..but I cant even get her to let me do her ears or trim her nails...so I will just have to pay a vet.

"Have you figured out how to dilute it and precisely measure out the small dosage required?"

No. I just thought I'd take a recommended (1 pill) doggie dose.

My brother lives in a small town in NM, their deaths and cases were very low with only 2 deaths until around Thanksgiving. They now have 29 deaths and the vast majority were in the Veteran’s home.

That’s exactly what I bought, and where I bought it. The cashier warned me it wasn’t for human use. It says FDA approved on the box.

Stromectol (Ivermectin) takes about 3-4 weeks to get and they are legit. Must leave cell number on order form, a Doctor/Pharmacist will text and call to make it legal.

UnbeLIEvable. I can only hope that this kind of thing is unbrainwashing some. Only a few, I’m sure, but every little bit helps.

Go to YouTube and add the keywords. Personally, I got an online script (pushhealth.com) and had the script at my local pharmacy.
