100% of my gifts being delivered by the USPS are late. 100% of my gifts being delivered by FedEx and UPS have arrived on time.
The tracking info for the USPS also has a big lie. They say that they could not reach my front door because my driveway was not clear of snow. That was on Saturday, and my driveway was cleared hours after last week's storm.
Everyday I see UPS and FedEx drivers hustle through my neighborhood. They are working their butts off. They are also seem happy, at least the guy who just dropped off a package. I heard his truck and I rushed to the front door to greet him since he usually drops the package and rings the door bell. I had a gift waiting for him as I really appreciate his effort. I put the gift together Saturday after seeing him hustle so much. He was taking short cuts through the snow to get to front doors. I thought to myself at the time that his feet must be getting cold if he was doing that all day. He could have taken his time and run up people's driveways, but apparently that wasn't his plan.
That’s my experience. The shipper will show they shipped it and then it takes 5 days just to show up in the tracking. Then 5 more days to get 20 miles to the next city. Then it showed up in Oxford, MS where it sat for 4 days to get to Memphis 50 miles away.
After it got to Memphis it took 5 more days to get delivered.
My priority Mail packages took 18-20 days to get here and that was ordered on Thanksgiving. Yours will probably arrive in another 15 days or so.
The only Amazon packages that are not delivered on time are the ones that come USPS.
Strangely, I have 3 in the past month that were to be delivered on SUNDAY, but none made it then.
USPS lied and said business closed when I live in a hotel. They did get delivered the next day.
I just tell everyone who ships USPS that I can’t do business with them because the US Postal Service would screw up a one man funeral procession.
No blames the politicians for locking us down.
It will take 3 weeks. All packages since early Nov take 3-4 weeks.
All mine took 3-4 weeks. It sucks but it is what will happen.
The USPS used cheap junk mail as a means to make more money but now it is junk mail that is the bulk of all mail. The USPS should charge junk mail the same rates they charge all mail.
My mail carrier tosses packages out the window to land beside the road. I ran over an expensive Christmas gift.
Almost ran over.
I mailed a USPS “Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope” ($7.95 postage) to my Aunt with a one page Christmas letter and gift card in it last Saturday morning. Went with the high cost “flat rate envelope” to get the “tracking”...but as of late today (Monday)...zero tracking entries...says “Awaiting Item” for gosh sake! Will have to be FedEX or UPS from now on I guess.
Same here........In fact, no delivery on my street today but yet the carrier was seen sitting in his vehicle around the corner this evening.
I saw a guy on Twitter posting the delivery history of his FedEx package not too long ago. I think he was in Pittsburgh. The package had come from California or something, and had made its way through several rust belt cities including somewhere that was like 20 minutes from him before suddenly appearing over in Chicago. It was crazy.
For me, personally, FedEx just never does it correctly. They either deliver late or they don’t deliver and the driver marks the package as “couldn’t gain access to the building” which is complete BS.
One time, my mother shipped us something on Friday for Saturday delivery. It was scheduled to arrive Saturday morning, but then it didn’t arrive and around 5:30PM we got that “couldn’t gain access to building” message. So I called FedEx, and they promised that it would be delivered the next business day, which was TUESDAY because Monday was a holiday (which is why she’d shipped it for Saturday delivery in the first place).
I asked them if they’d guarantee me Tuesday AM delivery, and they refused because my mom “didn’t pay for priority delivery.” They actually said that.
Well now, if the politicos are in bed with, knowingly, or unknowingly, with the ChiComs, they’re still behind the curtain.
This all came out of ChiComsLand. We’ve been funneling money, technology & intellectual property to them for decades and they’re making their push.
It’s our fault. We let it happen.
They are a constitutionally mandated government entity.
Yes it is our fault for not having them hung for violating our rights immediately.
But almost half of the SO-CALLED Conservatives on FR supported this crap when it started. I knew we were doomed as a country then.
From last year. The stats are:
The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is ready to deliver more than 28 million packages per day between Dec.16-21, and will average 20.5 million packages per day through the remainder of the year.
What on earth is going on? I’d like to know whose responsibility it is to overhaul this mess...They are ripping off customers - I’ve never paid postage for packages other than what I’ve wrapped myself and there has never been a delivery problem. Lesson learned...I won’t be able to give my daughter’s family the Christmas and Birthday gifts until it decides to show up, I guess. Very, very disgusting! I’ll pursue it until I run into a brick wall and that will probably be with the first step I take.
I guess we’re lucky in that we have an Amazon Fulfillment Center right here in town. I don’t know the range of products that are “in stock” at this warehouse, but it must be a huge. There’s a regular train of blue Amazon delivery vans in the hood every day. Purchases are often delivered “next day”, or even “today” occasionally. Every so often, a purchase does come by USPS...and it surprises me. We don’t generally have trouble with those types of deliveries. I’m on good terms with the mail lady, so I think she looks out for us. I guess the Christmas “bonus” I provide, plus the occasional bulk bag of dog treats that I give her (she hands out dog treats to the neighborhood canines)...keeps us in good stead.
Really, all in all, it’s a crap shoot concerning delivery. Just yesterday, Amazon did deliver one of our packages next door...in error...the neighbor brought it over. USPS screwed up a timed delivery to one of my kids...then lied about it when it was delivered late. I demanded my money back but they claimed innocence with a smile...and gave me an 800 number to call. Sheesh.
Sometimes FedEx drivers can’t finish their routes and they go home.
I rarely use Amazon, but the last time I did; I paid for a priority service, and it was a day late. They refunded the ENTIRE shipping cost, no questions asked. Try that with USPS...LOL!
