100% of my gifts being delivered by the USPS are late. 100% of my gifts being delivered by FedEx and UPS have arrived on time.
The tracking info for the USPS also has a big lie. They say that they could not reach my front door because my driveway was not clear of snow. That was on Saturday, and my driveway was cleared hours after last week's storm.
Everyday I see UPS and FedEx drivers hustle through my neighborhood. They are working their butts off. They are also seem happy, at least the guy who just dropped off a package. I heard his truck and I rushed to the front door to greet him since he usually drops the package and rings the door bell. I had a gift waiting for him as I really appreciate his effort. I put the gift together Saturday after seeing him hustle so much. He was taking short cuts through the snow to get to front doors. I thought to myself at the time that his feet must be getting cold if he was doing that all day. He could have taken his time and run up people's driveways, but apparently that wasn't his plan.
Late or NO delivery - that’s my complaint also - I paid $7.75 for Priority Mail to send Christmas and Birthday cards with gift cards a week ago in one package to ONE address through USPS and the package still has not arrived...I learned an expensive lesson. Nothing goes through USPS again - the contents in the cards was not peanuts. I will make a special trip to get to Fed Ex and/or UPS...
Sadly I put the activation receipt for the gift cards in the greeting cards as last year someone I gave a gift card to needed it as the vendor told her the card wasn’t any good when it was!!
Good golly - where do you go to get good help anymore? I sure don’t see much of it. And I don’t buy that USPS has trouble filling jobs. What other agency has EVER had years and years of complaints about their lousy service?
If the delivery isn’t made by tomorrow, I will have to do it all over again and swallow the loss.
Why is it they can deliver millions of ballots but they are unable to deliver packages and regular mail? Unacceptable and heads need to roll and they can hire more workers!
I didn’t send Christmas cards because I not helping the USPS
Could not agree more that the USPS should be nothing but a dead man walking. It has surpassed its expiration date.
I shudder to offer FEDES and UPS a duopoly but we can do without the USPS. Look at the size of the USPS facility and how gold plated it is. How can that persist? Put the lot of it up for bid or lease on a competitive basis and see what happens. Most of the mail I get I can do without or don’t want anyway.
The USPS has become a buggy whip. Kill it.
Of course this is a pipe dream. It is a demoncrap wet dream so it will stay.
they have workers, too many and too many crooked ones.
Amazon is stomping practically every retailer into the ground with good product selection, rapid delivery and returns so easy even a caveman could do it. Say what you will about Jeff Bezos...the guy can run a company.
Don’t worry, they TOTALLY can be relied on for elections!

I was chatting with one of the folks at my post office today (we don’t have street delivery here in the boonies) and they said they were getting over 3000 packages a day. This is Tijeras, NM. There are probably not that many households in the zipcode.
They are getting these pkgs by the truckload. They start with UPS or FedEx but then are dropped at the Post Office because they are the only ones who go rural for the most part. You have a long day, then pull back up to the dock to unload and there are pallets full of pkgs waiting for the next day.
Is your mailbox big envelope to hold 75% of the pkgs you order?
Can’t abolish the USPS. It is required by the constitution. It needs to reformed. Fix it, scale it back. I don’t need 5-10 pieces of junk mail a day. Ridiculous that my mailbox is a source of 95% ads and 5% mail. Get rid of the junk, deliver 2 or 3 times a week.
USPS should not be federally subsidized. Knowing they will be paid and bailed out eads to largess and apathy.
Let them feel the pressure of a free capitalistic market. They will either improve their customer services and price competitiveness or go out of business.
My USPS packages are also late. Amazon and UPS has been on track and on time.
All government is bloated and inefficient.

They always do a crappy job.
But even UPS is straining now.
I had one package that was supposed to be delivered locally in California and it ended up in a warehouse in Minnesota for about three weeks. It finally showed up.
I used UPS exclusively for anything bigger than a business envelope.
My emails get routed through Iceland, but they usually arrive in a couple of minutes.
We sent our kids gift baskets this year. All baskets went UPD and got there early. I’ve been waiting on one small package coming USPS and so far it’s more than 2/weeks since it was shipped.
Everything coming from Amazon...right on time.
He’s the most successful Capitalist in the history of the world and he’s a Communist.
My package made it to Jersey City a week ago and that’s it!
Yep, I’ve had enough USPS packages delivered a day after the tracking shows it delivered that I see it as a pattern, not a fluke.
Today I ordered something from a small clock shop and they commented that they’ve had such a problem with USPS that they’ve switched to FEDEX.
That is true. Most USPS hubs are backed up and have been since the week of Thanksgiving. Upper management didn’t want to pay ANY overtime to keep up with it. Guess what?, there was a work slow down, people called in sick, and the the back up became constipation. Our hub in Indianapolis had 20 or more trucks sitting for more than a week and was increasing. Our distribution center in Evansville had four, some of our clerks have worked there to get them caught up. I’m a city carrier and I worked this Sunday, 200 extra packages, my route alone had almost 200 today. As a carrier EVERYTHING we get goes out that day. We have what I call “thugs” who use everything and anything to get overtime or abuse the system and get away with it because they can get the union to protect them. Not all postal employees are like that, but some “thugs (usually) Democrats mess it up for the rest of us.
