"Cruz is probably the highest ranking Constitutional expert in all this. Let's see what happens. Not sure a sitting Senator can wear this hat."

Of course Senators can argue a case if he is a lawyer. Ted Cruz graduates from Harvard Law school. After law school, Cruz worked as a law clerk for several judges, including Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist from 1996 to 1997.

After a stint as associate deputy attorney general at the Department of Justice, Cruz became director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission in July 2001. His time at the FTC was marked by successful defeats of collective bargaining proposals between physicians and healthcare programs, as well as legislation that aimed to curb below-cost gasoline sales.

In 2003, Cruz became the solicitor general of Texas. He argued a total of eight cases before the U.S. Supreme Court during his five years in the post, his victories including a case from 2008 in which he advocated for the preservation of the death penalty for a Mexican citizen convicted of raping and murdering two teenage girls.

Cruz would do well arguing this case.

I agree. They have likely already met in chambers and are drafting opinions as we speak. They already know how they will rule.

No not Guiliani. This is not inside politics against gangsters. This argument requires eloquence and in-depth knowledge of the Constitution. Ted has both. Not to mention his cache as a Senator. Much better than an ex-mayor.

Jay Sekolow or Larry Klayman would be the guys you want at SCOTUS not Cruz. Cruz is always looking for publicity.

The law is so clear that PA statutory law was ignored and the election was in part illegal, and the Equal Protection Clause was violated, that oral argument may not be required. As with Bush v. Gore, the harder question is what is the proper remedy? All eyes are on SCOTUS.

“Allen Dershowitz or Cruz will be the absolute best there are...”

While I’m sure almost every jurist in America (including those on the Supreme Court) would never admit it, the likes of Cruz (or Dershowitz) arguing the case would elevate it’s validity yugely.

To use popular leftist terminology, it would bring “gravitas” to the President’s arguments.

This is not the Presidents’ case against PA. This is Congressman Kelly’s case

Could any ruling on this case at the Supreme Court level have a potential affect on the other outstanding cases?

Excellent! If I’m remembering correctly, Cruz was on the list for a possible Supreme Court seat until he asked them to remove his name.

All Republican public office holders need to take notice and fight for Trump.

A good part of this mess is due to RINO's in office. To them, Trump is the disruptor of the status quo that they enjoyed so much.

Remember that, by several accounts, Ted Cruz is a legal genius, and a very good orator, and the SCOTUS should hear the case for that reason alone.

For a sitting US senator to address the SCOTUS could do a lot to restore decorum, both for the court and the senate. It is too bad that it will likely be a virtual hearing.
