Wait a minute!!!!

Wasn’t it posted that Mark Meadows congratulated Biden for winning the election or being the President elect something like that, and that he is now a TRAITOR?

I agree!

Even with their little tiffs during the presidential campaign, I had hoped Cruz would be one of the three Supreme Court appointees in Trump’s first term. But actually I’m glad he’s in the Senate right now!

“To be clear: he does not have the Party behind him as Hayes did.”

Yeah that’s what worries me. The rinos will go for Biden. And we don’t have enough strong conservatives to even make seven. I don’t think.

BUT we have better technology than they had then of course. We could analyze the ballots, do forensic audits on the computers, they might actually be able to come out with what the vote really was. In the beginning Sydney was saying he got 80 million votes and even California. So they had composite information from somewhere.

“Hawley told Toomey that instead of debating the issue by press release, Toomey should perhaps debate him on the Senate floor.”

This is getting better and better. Finally, Republicans with b*lls!

Boom- I’m in. Booked a room for 2 with a queen sized bed and a sofa bed (for 2) for $165 a night at the Hilton Garden Inn.

I thought I saw something about not having any parking onsite and that it would be street parking. Boo...

1225 First Street NE
Washington, District of Columbia 20002
USA

It’s about a mile due north/northwest of Union Station, so that’s probably a little under 2 miles to the north side of the Capitol bldg.

Considering the expected crowd and the timing I would say that I slid in under the tag by the slimmest of margins.

Now my friend and I have about 40 hours on the road to make it in to town by Mon afternoon or evening.

I wanted to get there in time for meet and greets and time on the ground scouting out the venues.

Also if allowed, to petition as many congress critters as possible by in person pleadings.

We’ll probably be beat up like chewed hamburger once we get to our destination, then it will hit us like we won the lottery ($500 scratch off) that we made it!

I need to reacquaint myself with my Photobucket account if that app is even still around, so I can post images to add some color to my posts.

I would be open to suggestions because I am sure there are numerous hosting alternatives and maybe there is one for kindergarteners. <<<

Looks like there’s a parking garage next door? 130 M St NE, Washington, DC 20002

Grocery store, several restaurants and looks like there’s a Metro stop on the corner if you want it. I think you found a good spot to stay right in town.

As thousands of Trump supporters prepare to descend upon the Capitol this coming week amid a presidential election they are contesting, there is a mass of confusion and conflicting information about what happens next.

You may have heard that a growing list of Republican members of the House and Senate have pledged to object to the electoral count of some states during Wednesday’s joint session of Congress.

Most analysts have said such objections, in practical terms, amount to nothing because while they can trigger debates lasting up to two hours, it would take a majority in both the House and Senate to reject the state results naming Joe Biden the next president of the United States.

There are other less discussed and, some insist, less likely scenarios. Some of them are examined in a legal analysis by John Yoo and Robert Delahunty. Published in October, about two weeks before the presidential election, it plays out multiple scenarios including under circumstances like the ones we face today. It is titled “What Happens if No One Wins? The Constitution provides for election crises—and its provisions favor Trump.”

Here are some applicable excerpts from the analysis.

“Suppose states send electoral votes that—even if certified by the governor—remain under question, whether because of fraud in the vote, inability to count the ballots accurately under neutral rules, or a dispute between branches of a state government...

...Vice President Pence would decide between competing slates of electors...

...If the electoral count remains uncertain enough to deprive either Trump or Biden of a majority in the Electoral College, then the 12th Amendment orders that “the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President...

...If today’s House chose the president, voting by state delegations, Trump would win handily.”

John Yoo and Robert Delahunty, Oct. 19, 2020

I guess I'm taking a high-level view of the 1876 election with stuffing the ballotbox (yup), flipped and rejected votes (yup), and voter intimidation (probably). And there was that Reconstruction thing going on.

The changing the rules by various states unconstitutionally, refusal to allow poll watchers, defiance of the courts, etc., was the icing on the cake.

The issue of one of the party's not having the back of their candidate wasn't a difference I was considering. Wish the Republicans were fighting that hard this time around!

My understanding, from those who have been to these YUGE things in the past, that we won’t have cell reception when at the protest. Which means, we won’t be able to report until we leave. Might get lucky and be able to post a short comment. But definitely no pictures until later.

Of course, that also means if something happens at the protest, we probably won’t know unless we’re right beside it.
