Judy on a facebook conversation about getting the next stimulus a person said this.

“Look at what Canada has been paying their people every month . 2,000.00 a month per person.”

Is this true?

I repeat myself. Ask Snowdon what’s going on .....

.....
NSA uses towering, windowless skyscrapers, and fortress-like concrete structures that were built to withstand earthquakes and even nuclear attacks. Thousands of people pass by the buildings each day and rarely give them a second glance because their function is not publicly known. They are an integral part of one of the world’s largest telecommunications networks – and they are also linked to a controversial National Security Agency surveillance program.

Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. In each of these cities, The Intercept has identified an AT&T facility containing networking equipment that transports large quantities of internet traffic across the United States and the world. A body of evidence – including classified NSA documents, public records, and interviews with several former AT&T employees – indicates that the buildings are central to an NSA spying initiative that has for years monitored billions of emails, phone calls, and online chats passing across U.S. territory.....

I’m not Judy, but maybe this will provide some info before she appears...

https://factcheck.afp.com/tweets-us-stimulus-misrepresent-canadas-covid-19-aid

On March 25, 2020, Canada’s legislature passed an emergency bill responding to Covid-19. Many of the benefits it created were extended in a second aid package passed in August.

The $2,000 figure in the tweet refers to the direct aid made available through the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB).

In contrast to the US Economic Impact Payment, which was a one-time check, CERB granted a Can$2,000 (about $1,551) monthly allowance to certain qualified Canadians.

Individuals had to show they lost their job due to the pandemic, were sick, quarantined, or taking care of someone who was sick with Covid-19, or were a working parent who stayed home without pay to care for children who were sick or at home because of school and daycare closures.

she would go home, get a bottle of Hershey’s syrup, turn it up and swig it down!!!

I thought that was normal. Doesn’t everybody do that?

They failed miserably on this building then.

And I'd like to see any above-ground building anywhere withstand a nuclear blast.

I think that’s our unemployment payment. I’m retired, so it sure wouldn’t apply to me. My kids and spouses have remained working, so it wouldn’t apply to them either. I have heard that it’s the case though, because now the businesses that are open cannot get people to work for them because they get paid more to stay home.

Actually, that sounds similar to what was being reported about the extra unemployment benefits here. I think in the US, you had to actually be laid off by the employer (taking care of sick person, quarantine or being sick yourself didn’t count) to get the unemployment money.

Ode monkey

Its possible Mayor Bowser will try to shut down DC on the 6th. In such a situation, it will be important to bring enough food/drink and keep it on hand during the “wild rally”.

Schiff is connected to two places:

1. Standard Hotel, West Hollywood.

2. Chateau Marmont, Los Angeles.

I realize it’s probably nonsense, but I read today that Pelosi was arrested as well lol. Sometimes I just like to read this stuff to pretend, just for a minute, how great it would feel. It’s the little things lol.

In one of the Jan. 6 threads, someone had a list of things to bring/do/considerations. They said food trucks should be there, but of course the Mayor might prevent them from getting a permit....

I was already planning on having some snacks/water bottle in my fanny pack. I know not to take my purse! And my shoulders can’t handle a backpack. Can’t decide if I want to take the Metro in, or drive. I went ahead and paid for a parking spot about a block from the Mall; if I decide it’s better to take the Metro I’m willing to forfeit the $20.
