Problem is for most stores lunch rush starts are 11:30, having all that breakfast crap in the prep area makes it tough, and WAY don’t want to be breaking it down in the middle of lunch rush. The schedule exists the way it has for a lot of reasons. McD puts a lot of trend research into everything, transition happens in a business lull, then they’re ready to go by lunch rush.
My first job outta high school was at KFC. I was there when they introduced the new Crispy chicken. I remember tasting it for the first time thinking, but this has no taste to it. Reason being they put no seasoning into the flour before they fried it. I did not like the new Crispy chicken and still don’t. That is what the Popeye’s tasted like to me.
“One McEstrogen burger with a super size order of fried soy curds.”
LOL!
So you’re a Micky D worker who doesn’t like the extra work?
Some people don’t realize that they can scroll past threads that don’t interest them.
I WAS a McD’s worker who understands how the business works. McD’s doesn’t like extra work either. That means more bodies. That means lower profit. They don’t like that.
It sounds good, but I won’t get in line for anything at McDonalds.
Every time I try to order a milkshake, the surly black female employee rudely informs me that the machine doesn't work.
I think it works fine and that they just don't like cleaning it at the end of the night.
Kinda curious if the franchise owner has noticed that his store never sells milkshakes.
I’m speaking for well comprehended business trends. Breakfast all day FAILED MISERABLY. And they knew it would. EVERYBODY that knows the business knew it would, and why.
Culvers has the best fried chicken sammich around...in regular and spicy variety.
They put too much pepper on their chicken for me. You can always add pepper later but you can not remove it once it is on.

I just wanted a Big Mac with Sausage patties instead of hamburger meat!
Get a job there. People who work there do all kinds of weird stuff. Or honestly do it yourself. Get some sausage, thousand island (thicken it with a little cornstarch), and have a ball.
That whole mindset is what got the quality of their food and service spiraled down into the pits.
Anyone here remember the McLean Deluxe? It was a low fat burger, with lean beef mixed in with some sort of seaweed extract. It was supposed to be low fat and a healthier alternative to the usual McDonald’s food.
But that product failed.
Maybe McDonald’s should just concentrate on what made them successful, rather than trying to appease the vegan or vegetarian or health food crowd? Those people would never eat at McDonald’s anyway.
Of course we aren’t in the product development department at McDonald’s corporate, so who knows what they see. For example, are they seeing declining regular burger and Big Mac sales, because people are more health conscious nowadays? Is that what is driving the new products they are coming up with ?
I eat a couple every year i know gross but I loved them from when i was a kid
Great. Just when the riots were dying down. Way to go, McDonald’s.
I had a chicken sandwich at the McDonald’s drive thru the other day. I think it’s called the “McChicken”? It was an okay fast food sandwich.
No actually the mindset of of chasing tiny sales not worth the effort is what spiraled their food and service down the pit. Small menu, well designed prep area, efficient practices, focused training. That’s what they built the empire on. Once they start doing this thing and that thing and what about that and suddenly we’ve 40 items on the menu at the same time and members of your crew don’t know how to make half of them because they never sell you wind up with service times climbing and quality dropping. And they’re still not fixing it. They don’t need 3 chicken sandwiches, they barely need 1.
