I remember that day well. I was actually in Bethesda Naval Hospital later renamed "Walter Reed Hospital",and where Presdent Trump was during his.. Covid period
I was in the hospital awaiting the birth of my daughter when I heard about the assisnation. That night the hospital was competely locked down and no one coukd come in or leave until further notice since the President's body along with the Kennedy family was being brought there. The family took over one of the floors above me.
Since I had been placed in the hospital because of a water retention problem along with the baby being breach it was decided I would have to have a Cesarean, but the problem was my doctor was not allowed to come into the hospital. I ended up after 12 hours of labor having one of the doctors that was already there who was not allowed to leave, do the operation. In the end all turned out just fine. My daughter was born healthy and today lives in Scottsdale. It was truly a memorable birth for more reasons then one.
Somehow, Donald J. Trump has been tasked to make things right. The storm is almost upon us.

I agree. With some things- education and voting at least - giving the states ownership of those has diminished their outcome.
