Okay, given the recent and continuing troubles, the Colonels wife finally agrees that arming up is good prep. Suggestions for a dependable, serviceable AR-type weapon?
One that you can find.
Or a tiger mini 30 which doesnt fall under assault weapon bans.
Easy to use, Lightweight, and accurate
Good luck finding one.
Ruger mini 30. Not Tiger.
Good Luck.
Palmetto state armory prices are well up from a year ago, but I believe they have some in stock.
Get a kit and assemble it. A little cheaper and a little easier to find
Good luck with ammo
Gosh....just now doing this? I wish you the best of luck finding one/any.
you are sooooo late to the party pal
good luck!
Especially after this farce of an election.
Piston fired AR. S&W Sport, even Delton and DPMS are good entry levels. Practice clearing jams. Don’t bet your life on steel cased ammo.
“Ruger mini 30”
OUT OF STOCK
Maybe the best version/model of it that can handle dirt and grime the best.
Dunno who makes it but that would be the one i’d want. I know they are touchy with dirt and grime, some makers models tolerate it better than others.
Nearly impossible to find a complete AR in a store. Your best bet is to buy a complete upper online from anyone who has them available. The cheapest ones are going to be bear creek arsenal, PSA, CBC industries. Then find a lower receiver through an FFL by having it shipped. If you are mechanical inclined then an 80% build would be a good option.
What is your price range?
Colt M4 is always a safe bet. Buying now may pose a problem as ammo is hard to get. Some places have limited quantities of .223 and 5.56. Locally Academy Sports and Eastern Outfitters allow two boxes per person per day. But there supplies are rapidly dwindling.
what’s your budget?
Your kidding right?
You’ll never find one now ... and forget about finding ammo.
Good luck.
But if you can find a selection:
Windham Weaponry
Any Colt
Sig
can easily find one via gunbroker, armslist, etc... granted, might not like the price... but they’re readily available.
