Moving/Flying out of “Blue State Hell” October 25.
Destination: South Dakota.
My brother lives there in Manhattan. He says 50% of his building is now empty, every day someone moves out
Got ‘em in The MOTOR CITY also. I heard 2 in Downtown Detroit on Saturday while downtown. Louder than the glass pack when I was a kid. I thought something was wrong with my car. Listen up.’..

I used to drive an F-600 for a construction company when I was a kid and I would turn the ignition off and back on to produce a huge bang...until I blew the muffler off. I was able to turn around and pick it up. I never did that again.
I suggest two rounds thru the left side of the roof.
Yes there is a very good reason that good quality mufflers are required by law.
Dear nyers:
boo
freaking
hoo
Elections have consequences.
This isnt a NYC problem, its a plague everywhere, city and country. It seems half of all cars young people drive have Illegal modified exhausts and the latest iteration are designed to rapid fire backfire which sounds like somebody doing a mag dump In front of your house. They should be illegal with massive fines-why should anyone have to hear some idiots ricer for 1500 feet in every direction? Why should thousands of people with jobs to go to be woken up 3 times a night by a-holes with a narcissist compulsion for attention? Its the worst noise pollution for no reason. We actually moved from a scenic rural enclave in an urban area to the real country largely because of this. Were on a dead end far from a Sideroad now but we still hear car noise and backfiring ( its just fainter). Normal stock cars pass by unnoticed, but the ricer plague is a permanent quality of life loss everywhere now.
We live in the middle of nowhere, where the loudest thing is a reasonably quiet farm tractor, a coyote, goose, gunshot, etc. All good country noises that are not really all that loud or annoying.
When we go to the city to shop the first thing I notice is loud car & motorcycle exhaust noise and car sound systems that can be heard a block away. Not to mention rude and overly competitive drivers.
There’s no way I could live in a city with a population over 2.
:: You are getting it NYers good and hard ::
Is that you, Jeff Toobin?
The streets are empty.
The kids are racing.
Open up the City!!!!
Loud exhaust is “dangerous and scary”?
“...the cops are nowhere to be seen...”
Go ask your mayor & governor why that is sweety pants & let us know their answers.
Once you began ignoring broken windows again the rest was sure to follow. Gods of the Copybook Headings are inbound.
Seems every truck around here has some kind of noise enhancement on it.
There used to be enforcement of the laws against loud vehicles, including motorcycles.
I had glass packs when I was a kid but soon took them off. Even that was just too loud.
