Hello Freepers. Mrs. R2 and I are traveling and I’m currently Freeping at you from Mena AR. I was trying to explain to my wife last night the significance of Mena in relation to the Clinton Family Crime Foundation activities from so many years ago. But I couldn’t remember all the details.
I seem to remember the Mena airport was a focal point for criminal activities but I couldn’t exactly recall the details. It’s been many years since the Clintons and Mena were infamous.

I stayed in a Mena motel one night with my family during the Clinton drug running activity. We wanted to catch Queen Wilhelmena State Park the next morning. We had toured the Clinton Whitewater “development” a week earlier because the Arkansas travel brochure made it look inviting. We knew nothing of either scandal then, or for a couple more years.
Wow, what a waste of energy.
I try to be pretty suspicious and observant while away from home. When the first unmarked car checked us out in the Mena parking lot my hackles went up. It was dark green with hubcaps instead of wheel covers. It was a full size Ford cheap model with dark windows.
We didn’t get much sleep that night watching cars of the same description pull into and out of the parking lot. Thinking back, it’s lucky we were able to leave the next morning.
To me the funniest part is when the dirt bag CIA guy (Schaefer) looks back at Barry Seal as he is leaving and says “Who the F is Schaefer?”
I still use that line sometimes but no one ever gets it.

This is where Barry Seals flew his aircraft into with loads of drugs for the Clinton Crime Family. Also if you talk lto many of the locals who have lived here for many years they will tell you that the Clintons and associates killed appoximately 58 people in and around Mena.
I remember reading in the book THREE YEARS IN ARKAN-SAW bu Marion Hughes about how dangerous it was in Mena back in 1900.
A local told him...”People here ain’t no mena than they are anywhere else.”

I’ve read that mena was a marxist oriented community long about that time.
It’s airport was where Clinton had drugs dropped off, but also 2 young kids, early teens, were killed because it was believed they saw too much.
