I would have loved to take chemistry but couldn’t do the math. I’m math challenged. If you study quantum physics they explain the why of chemistry. I like that watching that on youtube.

Every thing in the universe is/has a wave function. Humans think of everything as particles. But when you try to MEASURE the position/speed/spin of the these particles you’ve created an entangled superposition. Clear as mud?

Well since you mentioned it . . there are some who think the universe is conscious. We are all connected (string theory?). And if I remember correctly information (just like matter) cannot be destroyed with out violating some quantum law. So if a person dies does his/her memory get stored somewhere in the Big Universe Library?

I can only contemplate Quantum Physics and Astronomy in small bursts. It really is mind blowing when you slow down the “real world” and just sit and ponder.

More mind blowing is the fact the majority of the weight of any human is energy and not the weight of the protons or neutrons of atoms that make up our body. Remember Energy and mass are interchangeable. E=MC2. So almost all of your body’s mass comes from the kinetic energy of the quarks and the binding energy of the gluons of the atoms which make up our bodies. Remember that when you run out of energy.

I’ll have to study up on that. I’m not sure I want anyone to become Jobe. (I like the movie). But from that perspective Jesus of Nazareth harnessed quantum power to do the things He did. And He said IF we have faith we could move mountains. That’s pretty powerful. So maybe it is possible.

He is (or was) a brilliant software engineer.
He founded whole categories of software, segments of the industry. This is not pop culture, this is real-world serious.
You have heard of standing on the shoulders of giants? He is one of these giants. There are underpinnings to the world, that which makes everything work, that most people do not care to know, and great men that are forgotten, like when Joseph Whitworth invented standardized screws.
Personally, he is also a very interesting and amusing fellow. He’s also one of these guys that you can both laugh with or at.
