Yes, the chemo kills all my B cells and keeps my GPA from rearing it’s ugly head. I also take steroids and methotrexate. I have RA and Lupus also. The chemo helps all 3.
I get two infusions every 6 months two weeks apart. So I’ll have one We’d and two weeks later another.
Last year I was doing so well the Dr thought I could skip one. That’s when I came out of remission and this last year from hell started. GPA causes the small and medium veins to get stopped up with granules and I ended up with the pulmonary embolism last January that very nearly killed me. Bill Mitchell has the same thing as me, unfortunately he’s having a difficult time still.
I had home health and physical therapy for 2 months. Am finally off of oxygen (mostly) and no longer need walker or cane.
God is good! I will never skip the chemo again!
There's some others out there, such as is Donald Trump a narcissist, analysis of the plot to kidnap Whitmer, Sovereign Citizens, analysis of Trump coronavirus diagnosis (???), does Joe Biden have dementia that I didn't list. There's several on corovavirus conspiracy theories of all kinds as well. I haven't watched any of those (well, I watched the Biden dementia one LOL).
I admit when watching the political videos, my antennae went up a notch. With Dr. Grande being in the behavior treatment arena, and put the academia sphere on top of that, I agree that he probably poo-poos anything that outside what he's seen in books. The videos he puts out on the criminals are interesting, though.

So, is your chemo rituxan, aka rituximab? That’s what I had, although on a different sked, in 2018. It made me very tired, as well. That’s the only side-effect I remember.
I dunno.....these Halloween gigs just aren’t as scary since Michelle Obama isn’t there.

Yep, that’s the one. I’m allergic to it so they slow drip it with Benadryl, Xertec and Prepcid. Also give me 40mg Prednisone day before, day of and day after.
Extreme fatigue is main side affect but I also get balance issues with it for some reason and mega rash because of allergy.
It’s technically a biologic not chemo but Dr says Chemo.

I have cold agglutinin disorder which triggered something which looked like chronic lymphocytic lymphoma. I think the CAD caused the CLL, rather than the other way around. They gave me bunches of benadryl and I was on prednisone, too. I had one treatment a week, four times. The infusions took all day long, but other than tiredness, which built up over the four weeks, I had no side effects.
You will be $13,000 times more valuable after each treatment. I was amazed at how expensive it was.
Your doc is right. It isn’t chemo. Chemo tends to slaughter everything within. Rituxan is a monoclonal antibody which targets the CD20+ protein on red cells via multiple mechanisms. It flat out kills them. I did notice that I had a low white cell count and almost no lymphs at all after treatment. Stay away from germs! You’ll be a little more susceptible after treatment.
