Because it was more important to use a drawn out mourning to rally the rabid dems. I heard some of a very lovely religious service awhile ago.....for a woman who wanted the age of consent to be 12 years of age, and fought her whole life to be able to kill the unborn. She is in God’s hands now.

No. Not 24 hours. Traditionally they’re quick about it cause they’re a desert people and things start to smell. But there’s no hard and fast rule about speed of burial. The burial is a formality. Shiva is the important part. And the 1st anniversary.
