I’m doing ok with a place to stay, it’s just 3 hours away from home. Don’t worry, I’m safe and sound for now. Just dread facing the reality when we go back.

We have friends from our church who relocated to the burn area, earlier this year. No response from the emails to them. Same with another family just east of Portland.
Our Grandson and his room mate at Chico State were on standby warning to evacuate. They were renting a private home. I sent his parents links to the pics from your former area. After some discussions they got home yesterday evening.
This past Sunday, Chico State closed all of its dorms due to Corona 19 bs. It has been a hell of a year for them and over 10K Chico state kids.
They will continue with online classes this Monday.

I am waiting for my ins. to call back to see if I have some lodging coverage. Have a good place with this sweet man in Cottage Grove who will help me go through the rubble and take me down there to do it, when they say we can. Just hoping for a few tokens.

AuntB, keep checking back in on this thread. Would like to know if I can send you anything you need. I’ve an extra scratching post, but would cost more to ship then to order one sent to you. Strange to think of some extras for our critters that makes such a big difference to them. Stay well, dear lady.
You are all wonderful. I am safe and being taken care of by a dear friend. I have laryngitis from the smoke of a week. I wish you could see the pictures. I’m in need of time right now more than anything and I’ve never been so busy. I’ve given lots of thought to your generous offers, and please share with all the others. Most of my loss was because I was ready for anything but this. This area has never had a fire. I moved out of that stress years ago because I was too old. But I failed to increase my insurance after years of remodeling. No ones’ fault but mine.
But being the only person to warn a neighborhood, cost me all I’ll ever have. I would love to have your generous offerings put in a fund if one of you can set that up. I just can’t right now. Typing is a torture.
