He said that it was a plate that he had requested, and it was the name of an Indian tribe in his ancestry, the Fuqarwe tribe. The California DOT apparently bought the story. We all laughed.
That old joke was the basis for the name of the Heckawi tribe in F Troop. Great show.
Drug names go through extensive testing and evaluation on a numbers of levels —marketing, regulatory, legal. The Team responsible for this one gets an ‘F’.

A friend emailed that she read an OR deputy got fired for saying antifa was starting some of the fires. I asked her for link. I notice all the media around here is DEAD silent about origin of fires. Normally the cause of fires is always in articles along with other details; whether lightning, accidental or arson. Now? NOTHING. If the public knew arson was going on, they’d be alert and be able to prevent or at least call 911 and maybe put out some before they get big.
In fact practically every other article I see has the obligatory “don’t spread rumors about extremist groups starting fires” etc. I’m getting enraged.
