It is time for the good citizens of New York City to rise up and protest. He is destroying your city - completely destroying it.

The China virus is killing fewer people right now than the average flu season does in NYC.

Unbelievable.

25 Aug: Spiked Online UK: Government scientist: ‘Lockdown was a monumental mistake’
Professor Mark Woolhouse said lockdown was a ‘panic measure’ which must never happen again
A scientist advising the government on infectious diseases has said the lockdown was a ‘monumental mistake on a global scale’, in an explosive interview (LINK) with the Daily Express.
According to Professor Mark Woolhouse, who sits on the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Behaviours, lockdown was a ‘panic measure’ and he ‘never want[s] to see national lockdown again’...

Woolhouse originally supported lockdown as a temporary measure, intended to buy time for scientists to come up with new methods for fighting Covid-19. However, he admitted it was done because ***‘we couldn’t think of anything better to do’.

Woolhouse believes ‘the harm lockdown is doing… will turn out to be at least as great as the harm done by Covid-19’, if not greater. ‘The cure was worse than the disease’, he added.

He also took aim at the government’s policy of closing schools, saying this was ‘not an epidemiologically sensible thing to do’, and that we should have focused on care homes and not kids.
Woolhouse’s words make a mockery of the government’s claims to be following ‘The Science’ when shutting down society...

Rather than flail around in search of ideas, the government should end the lockdown for good and allow us to get on with our lives.

The reason it will not come back is demonstrated by a little shop in the area where I work.

After the looters got through with it, the owners waited, then decided they would remove the plywood and refurbish the place inside and out.

Today I saw the new outside paint job covered in brand-new anarcho-fascist graffiti. Then I saw a simple sign in the window thanking all their customers and announcing that they were closing for good.

Enough! Today, @StevenMatteo and I stood with local restaurant owners and attorneys Lou Gerlomino and Mark Fonte to announce a lawsuit to get Cuomo, de Blasio to allow indoor dining. Despite meeting the metrics, #NYC is only municipality in NY excluded. https://t.co/Ef98EMmV98— Nicole Malliotakis (@NMalliotakis) August 20, 2020

You are killing NYC! You allow VMA and Fashion Week but no weddings? Allow weddings and open indoor dining now! https://t.co/1FvvlG9iWn— Open NYC Indoor Dining! (@NycIndoor) August 26, 2020

I can’t believe they are not out in front of his house with pitch forks and torches.

I know in Nevada Governor Sisolak would have loved to close the casinos again after the so called summer surge, but the owners probably told him he would never be found, a la Jimmy Hoffa, if he did.

He did manage to close bars that don’t serve food for several more weeks and our communist court system upheld that order.

Things are bad enough with the stupid occupancy restrictions. Large conventions won’t be returning probably until 2022 so there will still be some very tough times ahead for us, but at least we may be able to keep our head above water.

This isn’t just New York

It’s the State of California as well.

No indoor dining or really any indoor activities. The list is too long but, if it was normally done inside it ain’t no more.

The waitstaff is usually made up of younger people, many of whom still live with their families.

When a restaurant reopens, covid tends to spread among the staff after one of them gets it from a customer. Then it spreads to diners before it can be stopped. That’s how it works. Not to mention the servers’ families.

We have been very good about stopping the spread. Some people like to make fun of us, but we are doing OK now for a crowded, overpopulated city. Opening the restaurants could end that progress.

Outdoor dining has been great. People stop in who might not ever venture into an indoor place. The fact that it is on the sidewalk makes it seem more like it belongs to everyone. People are also more communal in their seating arrangements. It is one of the ways that covid has actually changed things for the better. And it does cool off in the evening!

Let’s wait a bit before demanding indoor dining right now, when outdoor dining is doing so well and is so much fun. We have time to start into it slowly when it gets too cold to eat outside.

Surprised he hasn’t been torn limb to limb by now.New Yorkers have come to understand that even though they voted for him, he has learned NOTHING and has aided and abetted the destruction of city which can only hang in its head in shame

at this point as it slowly collapses in every quarter. I live only 15 miles away in Bergen county NJ and haven’t been in since March when the lockdown was still “a gleam in the eyes” of the Governor and Mayor.

I might add: Stop complaining about the “covid tax,” New York diners. Let them have a little extra. They deserve it.

LOL

And how will outdoor dining work beginning in November?

I might like to sit outside in the cold, in my shorts but, most people don’t .

I sure as hell won’t be sitting outside in anything but a cashmere overcoat or snow gear come mid December....

Rain, sleet, snow and wind...Brrrr!

I am in San Francisco once a week and every restaurant I use to go to is closed.

I had been going to Carmel every weekend but, with the fires I am not wanted for a couple more weeks while they deal with that.

Can anyone say “Ughhh!”

Carmel is strictly a tourist town and they rely on Summer for their annual income the same way retailers rely on Christmas...

That’s what I told someone the other evening. Given the known short fuse temperament of some of the resident urbanites there, I mentioned that I was genuinely surprised that members of the peasantry hadn’t tried to rip the gates off their hinges at Gracie Mansion and drag him out by his heels yet. The same goes for Cuomo.

Maybe NY will go to Trump after all.

Between Cuomo killing off all the old people, and deblasio running NYC into the ground, the dems are doing a GREAT job of pissing people off.
