It was a teleprompter speech! All he had to do was read it. If the teleprompter cut off in the middle, it would have been hilarious to watch! Definitely a nodding palm to head event had it occurred.

We are actually pretty close to the point where technology allows us to “pre-record” a speech and then use audio modification and computer-generated graphics to stage a completely fake speech by a non-existent person. We’re probably already there.
