We are actually pretty close to the point where technology allows us to “pre-record” a speech and then use audio modification and computer-generated graphics to stage a completely fake speech by a non-existent person. We’re probably already there.
But OK so if the Joe does have cognitive ability based on his speech then he cannot duck a debate(s). This pass they are giving him from a low expectation, scripted, edited speech just got him called out of the basement
He cannot hide behind the Virus. There whole convention was virtual on Skype. Debates can be run that way too

I AM POSITIVE that the speech was pre-recorded.
Biden has been declining for years.
NOT POSSIBLE that he could pull it together for even the time frame of that speech.
I would bet that it took many re-takes to produce what was shown on Thursday night.
It could even be a deep fake for all we know.
