Regardless of who is elected, it'll be civil war
World Net Daily ^ | 19 August 2020 | Erick Rush

With one exception, the wars in which the United States has engaged since its inception involved our nation against one or more external adversaries. That exception, the American Civil War (1861-1865), still elicits an emotional response among our citizens due to the inherent tragedy connected to a nation at war with itself – the whole "brother against brother" dynamic that is recalled whenever discussions of this conflict arise.

One less common aspect of our Civil War (as compared to other nations that have endured civil wars) is that America was geographically divided at the time by the Mason-Dixon line, which divided the Union and Confederate states. This more resembled traditional military conflicts with external adversaries, and has colored many Americans' idea of what a civil war is like. Unlike our Civil War, civil wars in most nations generally involve disparate or dissident factions fighting against each other and/or whatever regime is holding power.

I'm not going to say that what we've been experiencing over the last three months have been the first salvos of a civil war, but it sure looks like it. While hard-line socialists in the Democratic Party are working within the political infrastructure and behaving as though they are conducting the business of governance according to the rule of law and constitutionally established procedures, they are in fact in the process of fomenting civil war – or at least, they have made it apparent that they are willing to go that far if they are not able to gain ascendency via political means.

I just found out that BLM is doing another protest there tomorrow.

And it’s weird because now I feel like there’s something I need to get in Berkeley Springs but I can’t think what...

Wrong title! Should say, more accurately:
Regardless of who is elected, the current communist revolution will continue...

It would not be a war of secession but of revolution, a much different animal.

Agree, and to make matters worse, we have a world of enemies with weapons capable of great destruction waiting for an opening. Thank the Jewish Admiral Rickover for giving America its underwater fleet of nuclear boomers who keep us safe. If our enemies ever figure how to take this capability offline, we’re screwed (Rev. 18:17 “For in a single hour such fabulous wealth has been destroyed!”).

I can see many scenarios where several states secede to get out of this mess. I can also see at the same time places devolving into guerrilla warfare and militias being formed.

war of secession

No such thing. Secession is a state or states leaving the union and forming a new country(s). This does not necessarily lead to war.

The South seceded, and there was a war (i.e., the war of secession).

You seem aware of the facts at most levels.

You seem to be concerned that Americans are not organized, are leaderless, without cmd/control, without adequate means of communication.

Ponder this:

Civil Setting vs. Wartime Setting

Americans are living in a Civil Setting. Marxists are operating in a Wartime Setting. The former is rooted in the rule of law. The latter is without rules, anything goes as long as it seems there are no major consequences.

For Americans to go on a war footing, there will need to be ‘authorization’ by unified action of all three branches of government.

Not going to happen.

Taking matters into one’s own hands, in areas where disunity has been purposefully created, is foolish.

Where there is unity, vigilantilism works. For example, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Staying at home, armed and prepared to defend is righteous but not without risk.

But in general, going on one’s own is not a winning strategy.

A short-term winning strategy would be to gather character references and apply to be a volunteer for the Trump Campaign or volunteer to be a federalized deputy Marshall or an assistant to such deputized forces. That brings authorization, structure, and communications.

Longterm, Americans need to overcome their resistance to entering the political arena. This is called “showing up”.

Definition of Secession:

noun

the action of withdrawing formally from membership of a federation or body, especially a political state. "the republics want secession from the union"

Ponder this:

You get high marks for your analysis. But I find fault with your suggestion of falling in with a federal agency. One, it will be used against us if GF, we lose this election. Two, anyone entering into allegiance usually incurs a penalty if they ever break the loyalty agreement. What's needed is an agency or organization, independent of the federal government, which could serve to provide legitimacy, command, and control.

If you think “thugs” are just going to let you get up and leave with most of the marbles, you’ve got another thought coming. It’s what the South thought in 1860, and have been paying for ever since.

Todays’ Yankees are pussies. They want us to leave so they will have free reign to make utopia. Without Texas and Florida they think they will have it made.

Thank you but I think we can be assured Trump will win. I’ll post how and why as a general chat thread, later, as I have to take care of some business.

Your idea of a separate organization is well-intended, but pause and think what the consequences are longterm.

Loyalty and allegiance are very important concepts but a volunteer army need not join a misled federal command structure. Correct me if I’m wrong, but resignations are always an option. We are envisioning a scenario where an Obama, Biden, or Clinton is in the White House.

Forget it. A formal succession isn’t a workable solution (See American history from 1860-1865). There may be a breakup of the USofA, but it will be a natural solution to ever-increasing and intolerable violence and suffering. And the formalization will occur long after partitioning based on numerous factors already occurred (i.e., just a formality).

Most of the antiques places shut down.
The flea market is gone and the RAG shop is for sale.
Ammo.
Maybe ammo and a cold drink from Sheetz.

About the CWII Ping List

The CWII Ping List is short for Civil War II. It is NOT a list of people advocating another Civil War in America. It is a list of people who are interested in the parallels between the Civil War (or War Between the States, if you prefer) and our current situation, or more generally are noting the references to a 'coming Civil War' that are made in the press.

Of course sometimes this is merely a figure of speech, such as "The Tea Parties are fighting a civil war for the heart of the GOP". This would not merit a CWII ping.

On the other hand someone saying something like "The events in California are reminiscent of what happened in Yugoslavia in the period proceeding the Civil War" would merit a ping.

FR rules do not permit advocating for the overthrow of the Republic, and I am not aware of anyone doing so on the list. Still many do see that as the political climate worsens we may be heading in a direction that makes such a conflict all but inevitable, particularly if other avenues for resolving our differences are taken away. Such as widespread vote fraud by leftists making elections meaningless, or a small cadre of judges over-ruling all attempts to end destructive policies over the clear will of the people.

The correct keyword tag for the Civil War II ping list is "CWII". Please Freep Mail me to get on the list

While other places are burning, it’s freakishly quiet and peaceful here..but you can hear the banjos being tuned up.

The banjo joins in around the 1:50 mark.
