'China rocks': Elon Musk praises Chinese electric car-making workers and says 'entitled and complacent' Americans are now taking things for granted after 'winning for too long'

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has heaped praise on China's 'smart, hardworking' people when it comes to manufacturing electric vehicles and says 'entitled' and 'complacent' Americans are now taking things for granted.

In an interview with the Automotive News podcast, the 49-year-old billionaire specifically criticized New York and California, which are two states that have given his businesses tax breaks and other government help.

When asked his thoughts on China being a global electric vehicle strategy leader, Musk said: 'China rocks in my opinion.'

'The energy in China is great. People there, there's like a lot of smart, hard working people. And they're really, they're not entitled, they're not complacent.

'Whereas I see in the United States increasingly much more complacency and entitlement especially in places like the Bay Area, and LA and New York.'

Musk said the United States was now taking things for granted after 'winning for too long'.

He compared California and New York to professional sporting teams about to lose their winning status.

'When you've been winning for too long you sort of take things for granted. The United States, and especially like California and New York, you've been winning for too long,' he said.

'When you've been winning too long you take things for granted. So, just like some pro sports team they win a championship you know a bunch of times in a row, they get complacent and they start losing.'

Elon Musk is exactly right. If New York City, LA, California etc continue with their totally insane policies, they are headed straight to the dumpster.
Who the heck would want to live in and invest in very high crime NYC or LA with shootings, rioting, looting all the time, no protection from your business getting burned down, super high taxes and deranged policies from DeBlasio of Garcett?

But there is now one HUGE worry: what happens if the Three Gorges Dam breaks.

I'd call it the Will of God, not a YUGE worry.

Tesla doesn't need to go to China to have their intellectual property stolen.
Right now Tesla is suing Rivian precisely for stealing Tesla intellectual property. And Rivian is not in China.
They are located right here in the USA.

From wiki

Late Greek μόσχος 'moskhos', from Persian 'mushk', similar to Sanskrit मुष्क muṣka, derived from Proto-Indo-European noun "mouse". The deer gland was thought to resemble a scrotum.

We have allowed ourselves to be handicapped that is for sure.

During the nineties the company I worked for when to Washington to complain about the fact our patents were being stolen by the Chinese.

They were told, "well go invent something else then."

When they responded, "So they can steal that?" they were told, "I am sure you can keep ahead of them."

I worked at a place that installed those fake convertible tops, landau tops and fancy trimmings on new cars. There were two chinese brothers working there and they did the Cadillacs because they were the best and fastest. They were never late, never left early. They brought their lunch with them so they never took lunch a minute or three longer than the half hour. They never stood around and had a conversation for 10 minutes.

The American born people working there loved to stand around and talk about the sports game from the night before or a girl or whatever. Came in hung over on Mondays. Sneaked out a few minutes early on Fridays. Complained about every damn thing. Argued with each other etc etc.

Musk has a point.

Same with some hispanics. Very hard diligent workers compared to lazy Americans.

Slavery and threats of demise usually help people make up their minds to produce more.
