Fleetwood Mac co-founder Peter Green has died. He was 73.
According to a family statement released on Saturday, the English singer-guitarist died in his sleep.
"It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Green announce his death this weekend, peacefully in his sleep," the statement reads.

Yeah, mainly because his girlfriend got documents against Brian's psychiatrist that he was being given wrong drugs and being handled to the benefit of the doctor. Once properly diagnosed and with the correct drugs, he returned to pretty much normal. People call him a genious song writer, but other than a couple songs on Pet Sounds, I don't see it. I think his genius was his arrangements with the harmonies of the other Beach Boys. I've seen them live many times, and the harmonies are mesmerizing.
Im sitting by the pool darkening
94 humid
Ive lost my baby
I know that feeling ...
But I also know how to fix that lol
Ive got all their stuff through Spencer and Kirwan. On a playlist
Now a harp jam with Otis Spann in Chicago
Peter Green
Talented kind and vulnerable
Last song I think he used a national resonator
Pet Sounds is one of the greatest albums of all time.
I remember Chris Welch. I think he was on the last original lineup before Nicks and Buckingham. Believe that album had a one hit wonder on it.
AMEN! May I Echo, Thanks for the MUSIC!!
Great song, but WAY post Pete...
Right???
He played on Kiln House from 1971 or so that some songs had a Buddy Holly sound...that album is a masterpiece absolutely awesome-give it a listen.
“But don’t ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to”
Humor and great music, now we have chanting to computer generated garbage.
>>Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer (both are also deceased, if memory serves), the other two thirds of FM’s three guitar attack, lost their marbles earlier on. Gosh, I wonder if it was related to substance abuse?
Yep, Danny and Peter went off the cliff the same time at a party in Germany

Bob Welch
He redid Sentimental Lady later.
Great rock song, but don't believe Green was on that song, nor was Bob Welch. It was a collaboration with the newly formed band members unless I missed an earlier version.
Mick Fleetwood and guests performed a special tribute concert to Peter Green and the original Fleetwood Mac this past February before everything shut down.

That's what they say. Other than Good Vibrations and couple others, I just don't agree "of all time". Maybe I just didn't get Brian Wilson's softer stuff. His so called masterpiece "Smile" is boring. Give me the Stones any time. They are still on honky tonk jukeboxes to this day. Yeah okay, Sympathy for the Devil is a 3+ chord song. Besides Gimme Shelter, it has been used in more movies than just about anything. Some things rock, some things are interesting.
I think you mean Bob Welch.
That's the one!
I didn’t know. Thanks.
Never mind he didn’t play on Kiln House...still one of my favorite albums ever.
Yes. I saw Chris Welch earlier in the thread, but I knew who was meant. We’re talking 70’s here, can I get a break? Anyone? Anyone?
