Giant grocery stores are once again reminding shoppers to wear masks.
Starting this week, employees are positioned at store entrances reminding customers of Pennsylvanias order to wear face coverings while inside stores, said Ashley Flower, spokeswoman.
In addition, Giant will offer complimentary masks by request if customers dont have one or have forgotten, she said.
We care deeply for all of our customers and are committed to creating a respectful and compassionate environment, Flower said. In that spirit, we will not prevent someone from entering our store if they cannot wear a mask for medical reasons.
Employees also are reminding shoppers about Giant Direct services, including pickup and delivery. All team members continue to wear masks, Flower said, adding stores continue to play messages over the in-store radios and display signs reminding customers about the mask requirement.
In recent weeks, large retailers including CVS, Home Depot, Lowes, Target and Walmart have announced they are requiring customers to wear face masks.
In the meantime, Giant also announced today its customers donated more than $1 million to support Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals. The Giant Company is among the top 15 fundraisers in the country for the hospitals.
Interesting. However it buttresses my belief that wearing masks outside the home does not help.
I understand what you are saying. The women generally are well masked when outside. But they get it at home from the men.
But the men are wearing masks now too, the way we are, not as all encompassing as a burka and not as consistently as a burka?
So I continue to say that masks obviously dont help. If they did, women would be contracting corona there far less frequently than men.
To extrapolate, in order to work, everyone would have to wear them at home, too. If they are effective. Which absolutely no one is every going to do anyway.
People were getting the virus before emergency responses were taken. Given today’s air travel. Places such as the United States would already be having cases of COVID-19 in a month or even less.
