White House coronavirus advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said the United States is seeing a surge in new Covid-19 infections because the country never shut down entirely.
Early in the outbreak, U.S. coronavirus cases peaked at around 30,000 new cases a day before falling and plateauing at roughly 20,000 new cases per day, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. As some states began to reopen in late April through June, new cases began to surge, Fauci told Stanford Medicine Dean Dr. Lloyd Minor during an interview.
"We did not shut down entirely," Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said. "We need to draw back a few yards and say, 'OK, we can't stay shut down forever.' ...You've got to shut down but then you've got to gradually open."
The U.S. has reported more than 3.3 million Covid-19 cases and at least 135,205 deaths as of Monday, Johns Hopkins data shows. As of Sunday, cases are growing by 5% or more in 37 states and also Washington, D.C., according to CNBC's analysis of the data. The seven-day average of U.S. cases is more than 59,100.

The virus has been used by the elites of the world to gain power. No time in history has a virus been treated like this, where they healthy are assumed to be sick and entire economies are shut down.

I think he forgot to finish his statement. I’m sure he meant to say totally shutdown the riots, looting, and arson.

How were people supposed to get provisions? What a jerk.
If we stop driving, and shut down the expressways/freeways, traffic deaths will go down. If we outlaw tobacco, COPD and lung cancer cases will decrease. If we outlaw alcohol, alcoholism and cirrhosis will decrease. If we outlaw swimming and boating, drowning deaths will decrease. If we take away the right of people to choose what they eat each day, obesity and diabetes will decrease.
None of these things will work, of course, but it’s the same mindset as Fauci is voicing.
I was merely stating that she was not alone in her line of thought...others believe that masks may be making people sick, or are instrumental in spreading the disease. Perhaps that is deliberate on the part of the fascists. I am very aware that the fascists are grinding us under their heels, and most are ‘going along to get along’. As for me, I believe God is judging America, and it is NOT going to end well.
The kind of destitution and poverty that Fauci and the rest of the big govt goons want to force on us would cause deaths just as sure as any virus, and would last a lot longer.
Common sense says that more would end up dying as a result of the United States shutting down entirely until cases fall to a politically acceptable level (after Nov. 4).

Actually about 90 people die each day in the US from crashes (https://www.cdc.gov/vitalsigns/motor-vehicle-safety/index.html) According to CDC statistics, there were 40,231 deaths caused by motor vehicle accidents in 2017. (https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/death-index-top-50-ways-americans-die/47/) And the economic and societal harm from motor vehicle crashes amounting to a whopping $871 billion in a single year.
Thus to be consistent, COVID-19 captivity promoters should contend that henceforth travel should be restricted to only essential needs, and street distancing of 6 car-lengths should be practiced when doing so, and otherwise all motor vehicle are to be garaged-in-place until a solution (bumper cars?) is found to prevent this dangerous and often deadly viral-vehicle transmission.
Exactly. There needs to be perspective to the numbers so we can compare it to other risks. But of course they don’t. It would totally mess up the doomsday scenario.

Numbers that are strangely absent from the consideration when it comes to lockdowns, etc.
When they start citing the millions of protesters in close contact as spreaders then they might gain some credibility
