The black birdwatcher who had police called on him by a white woman in a viral video clip in New York's Central Park has refused to cooperate with the Manhattan District Attorney’s investigation into the incident. Amy Cooper, 41, was branded 'Central Park Karen' in May after she was caught on cell phone video telling cops that she was being threatened by Christian Cooper, 57, after he asked her to put her dog on a leash. Ms Cooper was charged with falsely reporting an incident in the third degree on Monday.

Cops are probably trying to get her for making a false report. This guy better cooperate or he may have obstructing justice charge.
Given today’s politics, I love this guy. I suspect he’s going to vote for Trump as well.

According to a report that I read, he threatened to poison her dog. If that comes out in court, it could ruin the case against her, reverse the narrative, and make him look bad.
I thought this guy might take this tack eventually.
It seems like this guy is doing the honorable thing against all odds. That’s a good thing; somebody with some sense amidst all of this insanity. That said, it’s still amazing that this tiny incident became a national news story.
He’s alright in my book and the Book of Life.
He did no such thing. He carries dog treats with him while bird watching in the Brambles section of Central Park as he’s often encountered other people with unleashed dogs which is not allowed there and with numerous signs posted. FWIW her dog was running though the underbrush and disturbing ground nesting birds in an area of the park set aside for bird watching.
He and I think other bird watchers do this (carry treats) to prove to the dogs’ owners that their dogs are not under their control while unleashed and to encourage them to leash them.
He never threated to poison her dog nor did he threaten her as she claimed in her hysterical call to the police, one in which she specifically pointed out he was “black” as to make him seem to the police to be more threatening.
Either he’s very gracious, or he’s afraid further investigation will somehow implicate or uncover something he’s done. Let’s hope it’s the former. I’m tired of humanity disgusting me.

Well, that report was fake news. He pulled out some dog treats. Among bird watchers that is SOP. The owner puts the dog on a lead so it doesn’t go over to the birdwatcher. Problem solved.
