Harrowing surveillance footage captured the moment a man was fatally shot while crossing a Bronx street hand-in-hand with his 6-year-old daughter.
The clip, tweeted by Rodney Harrison, the NYPDs chief of detectives, opens with Anthony Robinson approaching the intersection of Sheridan Avenue and East 170th Street in Mount Eden around 5:50 p.m. Sunday.
Clasping his young daughters left hand in his right, Robinson, 29, stops at a crosswalk to eye a dark sedan slowing next to them, appearing to check whether the driver was turning into their path.
But the driver continues to roll along next to father and daughter as they cross Sheridan Avenue, the video shows.
Nearly out of the crosswalk, Robinson turns as though to say something to his daughter leaving his back to the sedan. The shooter then sticks a handgun out of the passengers window and opens fire, striking Robinson in the chest.
As Robinson crumples to the pavement, his terrified daughter takes off running down Sheridan Avenue, apparently unharmed, the footage shows.

Great idea
“Im just taking a guess reading the images but I think the man saw the car, knew what was coming, turned to shield the child and told her to run.”
Went back and watched it more, victim is watching the car out of the corner of his eye all the way. His head isn’t pointed straight ahead as he walks. He knew it was trouble. It does look like he talks to his daughter, she starts running after the shot and the guy on the bike motions/tells her to turn and run with him.
Without question.
Looks like a hit.
We know its not the Amish. They used a car.
de blasio doesn’t care about lives.
This looks more like a premeditated, gang-related hit.
Black Lives Don’t Matter to Black Lives Matter. White Lives Don’t Matter to Black Lives Matter, Black Lives Don’t Matter to whites who believe Black Lives Matter and White Lives Don’t Matter to whites who believe Black Lives Matter
“victim is watching the car out of the corner of his eye all the way. His head isnt pointed straight ahead as he walks. He knew it was trouble.”
That was the main thing that stuck out to me. Like I said its all a guess but I do think that car moving slowly as it was raised his concerns. Possibly he glimpsed a gun in the passengers hand or something?
I just pray for that girl. She can never forget such a tragedy but I hope she is not scarred too badly from this long term.
Maybe he was an “Uncle Tom” for actually spending time with his child?
Apparently, that is a shootin’ offence in the hood.
+1 because I have the horrifying, sickening suspicion that you are right.
Wouldn't even have known about it if I hadn't seen it here.
Sadly animals treat other animals better. Disgusting. She’s going to be in therapy a long time.
Your wife might be one of those people. You may just be around to stop her.
Thank you! All I get with any browser anymore is the swirling circle for 15 minutes just to watch a 30 sec video.
Wearing his pants halfway down his ass so he probably had some prison history or was a gang banger. Sad nonetheless.
Most unusual.
Me, too. Havent been able to find a single news story about it through google.
White Lives Don't Matter.
Trump should make weekly speeches about these murders especially about the children and call out the Antifa and BLM for not protesting them and the mayors and governors for hamstringing law enforcement to prevent the apprehension of the murderers.
I concur with most of your statement with an important exception. Proactive and aggressive policing prevents most of these acts in most jurisdictions (Chicago and Baltimore being exceptions) as criminals are not this bold when the police are top dog on the street. This is broad daylight for crying out loud! There is NO FEAR of the police by those in the car. None. That is a bad place to be in an area with gangs.
This will get much worse and the only solution is to empower the police to be aggressive. That will not happen in NYC with the Mayor, DA, Governor, and state AG. It will be a long hot summer in New York.
