Too bad
Face diapers
Must wear
Way easier to wear a mask but whatever you prefer.
Someone who has tracked this should make a graphic showing the so called scientific findings on every side of Covid 19 findings.
Contagious on surfaces - not contagious on surfaces.
model (a) shows xx - - - model (b) shows yy. You get the point. Then with the final statement: “Is this the science liberals worship?”
Viruses are some of the smallest particles on earth, they cannot be viewed without an electron microscope. I have serious doubts about cloth face masks being able to stop them.
The article is total poppy-cock, and you’re conclusions are inaccurate.
No mention in your references of NIOSH anywhere.
Wearing a Mask is effective, and very much worth the effort.
Stay Well.
Dr. Denis G Rancourt, PhD was interviewed on Graham Ledger show on OANN this evening. He makes a lot of sense.
Anecdotally: Look at Hong Kong. The population wear mask, use distancing, and disinfectants on floor mats when you enter a building. The closed the borders to China (And everywhere else) They’ve had fewer than 200 deaths in a city the size of NYC and that is even more crowded. Most of the hygiene measures are just done. The government does not mandate it.
The government does power wash sidewalks with disinfectant and quarantine any HK residents returning from abroad. If you do not have a place to live or violate the home quarantine, you are placed in a converted summer camp in Tseng-Kan-O for 2 weeks.
Is that a scientific study? No. But I bet if people in Houston did those things the virus wouldn’t be a problem.

Years from now history will show the entire civilized world did not die from a virus but self destructed of madness brought on by a strong flu bug.
Wow, this article really triggered the Karens.
Coming soon! New study shows the majority of masks have more germs than a toilet seat.
While I am skeptical of the protection against being infected when wearing the masks, especially by the untrained, there are some weird definition things stated here.
What is the relative size of the coronavirus relative to a CO2 molecule. If masks don’t stop a virus from passing, why would they stop a CO2 molecule?

He is a physicist, not a life scientist. He has no scientific expertise in the behavior of viruses. Some of the search results that came up when I searched his name lead me to be highly skeptical of anything he might have to say about Covid-19.
There is a lot more to the behavior of respiratory viruses than just the size of the virus. Viruses are packed into tiny droplets, and those will stick to the mask material.
This scientific study say face masks can be made effective:
“In summary, we find that the use of cloth masks can potentially provide significant protection against the transmission of particles in the aerosol size range.”
https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acsnano.0c03252
“Prevent transmission” vs “reduce transmission”...
“Reducing” is good.
I try to simplify. If a location requires a mask, it is telling me it’s a dangerous place, so I only go there if it is necessary.
Grocery, yes.
Most everywhere else, no.
I do spend a lot of time outdoors, no mask needed there.
How about my lucky rabbits foot? Ill bet that works!
