I have a note 10 plus and would prefer the samsung to not purchase a Chinese product
iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro
Apple is more trustworthy than Google (Android)
I’m sort of in the same mode... purchasing a number of phones to replace Samsung S7 and I want to stay away from both android and apple....
I finally upgraded from a flip phone to a samsung antique j2.
What a POS!
I spent a week trying to find out how the screen stopped auto rotating(I never disabled it) It took me 2 weeks to figure out how to load a custom ringtone.
Smartphones..Feh! more frustration than fun.
And there is no file manager, you need to download one!
LG, S. Korea - great phones.
I bought the Galaxy S20 with 5G. I am very happy with it. Still learning every thing it can do. Voice to text is very good.
One feature about Android phones is you can get a great automatic phone recorder from the Play Store. Records every call; both incoming and outgoing. It is completely legal for all calls if you live in a one-party state. Even if you live in a two-party state, it is legal if you are talking to a public official or if a caller states that they are recording a call. Never tell a caller that you are recording it, especially law enforcement officers. If a law enforcement officer knows you are recording, they will hang up on you; that’s normally a good idea.
No experience with either model you mentioned, I can simply say my Samsung Galaxy S9 has been rock-solid. Regular updates to it from Samsung and not a single hitch that I can find. I’ve had it for almost 2 years now and I’m going to run it into the ground.
You get what you pay for. I has my iPhone 5s for six years. While friends went through several different phones Due to failures over the same period
Buy an iPhone and have it for half a decade
Lost my note 9 in the water at the dock while unloading the boat. Oops. Liked it for many reasons, mostly the removable SD card. As a side note, diver who cleans the bottom paint found the phone one month later. SD card was still usable and I was able to recover all the photos and files upon it even after the month in ten feet salt water and silt. Nice feature.
Anyway, bought a note 10 (not the 10+5g) and like it, which also has removable SD card. Battery life not as good as the note 9, but maybe that’s because of too much time spent on FR.
Because I can’t remove battery to go dark, like in my old note 4, I also bought a mission dark farday bag for this purpose, as the “feature” for contact tracing is now part of the operating system.
Hope that helps
Really regretting T-Mobile, though....
A note pad, pencil, pocket pencil sharpener and an old flip phone....
What if I dont want to do business with google, apple, microsoft, amazon or china?
Is there any agnostic smart phone anywhere?
I have never wanted or needed my cell phone to be another computer.
Every cell phone I have had has always had what I considered useless features I had other, and better, equipment made to order for those functions.
Cell phones are going the way of Microsoft and Google - trying to be the be-all to end-all and ending the cheap price of just getting basic phone and text service accomplished.
My wife got a Galaxy S20 Ultra a few weeks ago and she absolutely loves it! When it comes to electronics and son on, she’s says “they make her hair hurt”. This tells me that her phone is perfect for her!
My Galaxy S10 is operating perfectly so it will be a while before I get the S20 Ultra for myself.
I bought the Samsung S20 about 3 months ago. My other Samsung had lasted 2.5 years and just quit working one day. My previous Samsung had the larger screen, and it’s been difficult to get used to the S20. Functionality, no issues. Battery does last a fairly long time. I would give it a thumbs up, with just the missing of the larger screen being my sole issue.
The first time it accessed I thought maybe I turned it on. After turning the wireless access off, the next day it was on again.
I had to dig deep but found the button that enabled the added, unwanted function.
Just a heads up for future reference.
I have a Galaxy S20. Love it! Takes great pics. Screen resolution is good. I would buy it again.
