No experience with either model you mentioned, I can simply say my Samsung Galaxy S9 has been rock-solid. Regular updates to it from Samsung and not a single hitch that I can find. I’ve had it for almost 2 years now and I’m going to run it into the ground.

My S7, at 4 years, has also been rock solid. The battery is showing some degradation, but it’s getting close to 1000 discharge cycles. I will probably stay with Samsung.

Ditto for me. I listen to the spousal unit complain about every update on her iPhone. I never have problems.
