This is the enemy of God throwing all these things at us. Even our spiritual enemy knows God's Word and that God wins. That enemy of God may be in denial and throwing all manner of evil against God's children but we will prevail! It is good to fill ourselves with His Word to have that reminder re-stirred within our souls so that we bring fresh spiritual energy to this battle! God's Word is pure encouragement. Battle weary soldiers all need refreshment from active battle. We are those soldiers and I pray that each FreeQ receive that necessary uplift, rest, refreshment and encouragement. Personal slide:
I've been on a much longer break than planned due the the death of my dad's sister who lead me to the Lord at 30 yrs of age. Her death was not chicomvirus related but she had gone on hospice in a nursing home March 12 so we had no visitation until her last 2 weeks. Praise God our Governor opened the option to have family visits her last 2 weeks. Her funeral brought my kids and grandkids from Alabama and Oklahoma to our house for 3 weeks. (I count that as a blessing received from chicom work-from-home rules)
I kept up with the thread (usually 2-4 days behind) during these visits and had just caught up and was about to jump in again when my dad had a heart attack 8 days ago. Daddy is ok now but he had a 2nd heart attack in the hospital during a procedure to install stints. As my dad was leaving the hospital docs discovered stage 4 cancer in one of daddy's brothers. It has been a crazy last few weeks.
But, still, God is in control. These lives all are given over to God and both within my family and observing the acts of the evil one in our world I still know God has us all right in the palm of His hand. I pray that each of you receive the Love and Peace of our God in your minds and emotions to heal the battle scars we are experiencing. I love you all and having you fight in the background while I've dealt with family issues means much to me.

Abstract
Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) is an emerging infectious disease caused by a novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV). SARS-CoV spike (S) protein, a type I membrane-bound protein, is essential for the viral attachment to the host cell receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2). By screening 312 controlled Chinese medicinal herbs supervised by Committee on Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy at Taiwan, we identified that three widely used Chinese medicinal herbs of the family Polygonaceae inhibited the interaction of SARS-CoV S protein and ACE2. The IC(50) values for Radix et Rhizoma Rhei (the root tubers of Rheum officinale Baill.), Radix Polygoni multiflori (the root tubers of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb.), and Caulis Polygoni multiflori (the vines of P. multiflorum Thunb.) ranged from 1 to 10 microg/ml. Emodin, an anthraquinone compound derived from genus Rheum and Polygonum, significantly blocked the S protein and ACE2 interaction in a dose-dependent manner. It also inhibited the infectivity of S protein-pseudotyped retrovirus to Vero E6 cells. These findings suggested that emodin may be considered as a potential lead therapeutic agent in the treatment of SARS.”

That being said - my husband is a subcontractor in the construction industry. He was doing an install on some new houses going up in town, and our two oldest grandsons are here helping him for a few weeks before college starts up again. I drove up to take their pictures with hubby. The contractor pouring the driveway next door was black and one grandson said he told him - "I can't stand Black Lives Matter. They are ruining it for all of us - all I want to do is work."
This is in Alabama. Tuscaloosa has had one protest and it was peaceful, downtown.
