Not sure what the media focus will be today - CV, Floyd riots and BLM, or maybe go back to their old friend global warming. They also like to discuss the “intersection” of these things - GW and CV were tied together (one example of many) by having Greta the angry teenager on a panel discussing CV. The riots and CV tie together because BLM is a health issue that predates and trumps CV, and therefore riots are an acceptable occasion to break lockdown (or so health experts say). It will come - the brilliant article tying riots, CV and global warming together as really one issue. And the conclusion will be that Trump will need to be voted out.

People were killed in NYC that week due to inappropriate treatment.
That’s because many deaths that would have occurred soon anyway were pulled forward by a few months. Let’s see what the totals look like after another year.

That was 18 days ago. Where are the "exploding" cases?
Puerto Rico just adjusted its number of confirmed cases from 5,329 to 1,403, and confirmed deaths from 144 to 63. They are now counting “suspected” cases separately. That is, if the case or death was certified by an MD based on a suspicion and not a confirmed test, they are counted separately.

We will know it’s really over when the deaths-vs-average-deaths graphs goes significantly below 100%, indicating that what COVID-19 really did was just hasten the deaths of people who were going to die this year anyway.
Florida cases ARE slightly up, but the deaths haven't climbed. The young people stopped social distancing so much, but the elderly in nursing homes are still under lockdown.
