I have a confession to make. I am sick
of coronavirus commercials. I in no way feel comforted by them, moved by them and Im certainly not entertained by them. At the very least they make me want to change the channel. At worst they make me want to actively boycott the products.
I dont want to see one more damn coronavirus commercial!
No more Were all in this together we are decidedly not. From celebrities doing Tik Toks from their palatial estates to Nancy Pelosis subzero freezer filled to the brim with expensive ice cream it has become increasingly clear that we are indeed not all in this together. Some of us are crammed into stale apartments. Some of us are isolated with our abusers or family addicts. Some of us are losing the businesses we worked our whole lives to build. Others of us are in mansions, still getting paid, still traveling, still going to parties, still going to private gym appointments. None of us are together, though. Thats kind of the whole point.
I dont want to see one more damn celebrity sing-along over Zoom. In fact, I dont want to see one more damn thing over Zoom, period!

In general, I am going to change the way I do a lot of things and how I treat a lot of people depending on whether they are in the side of freedom or tyranny. Even tacit support of this crap by a business or a person forbids me from having a non-adversarial relationship with them. My days are numbered and I am going down swinging for my children and grandchildren.
Never noticed. I ignore commercials.
Our local Walmart has those trailers set up in the parking lots, too. Huge masts with loudspeakers on them blasting the same unbelievably annoying message every minute or so:
“Attention Proles. Maintain your social distance. Keep your eyes on the ground. Do NOT look up. Line up for admission to the store. No more than one roll of TP per customer. Masks on at all times. Have a fun shopping day!”
Makes me glad I have a DVR to record everything on. As soon as I hear another one of these ads, I fast-forward through them. Like most folks, I'm sick of them.
The thing that bugs me is Spectrum showing ads for restaurants that are no where near me, and that I’ll probably never get to eat at...ie., Carl’s Jr., among others.
It’s certainly an epidemic of vomit inducing virtue signalling.
Sooooo tired of it all. I hate this groupthink pushed by mass media constantly. This nation’s culture needs a reboot. It’s lost. We aren’t all im this together. I’m still convinced this whole thing was orchestrated to destroy our booming economy and Trump. It makes no sense.
I don’t watch TV or cable. I haven’t see any kind of commercial in years. I didn’t they made commercials about anything other than horribly expensive drugs. /sarc
I DL or stream what I watch. Re-watching the Dirty Harry movie series right now. And the pilot of Then Came Bronson.
I do tip my hat to Amazon and crew for the huge workload they face.
BINGO!!!
And still most of my Amazon purchases arrive in a day or two. It is truly astounding.
Amen to that.
If one more person ( two already) tells me Im going the wrong way in the grocery aisle.....I will have a meltdown....
....so far, I just stare them down!
I love the #we’llgetthroughthis or #staystrong when you have facist govenors and mayors destroying individual freedom! I’d love to see #poundsandfacistgovs, or #killfauchi
GREAT
POST!
Walmart is in bed with the ChiComs. Look at most of the crap they sell. I really want to know why Walmart gets to stay open during this Rat shutdown in PA and small mom and pop retailers don’t. They say its because Walmart is essential, they sell food. It’s no more dangerous to go food shopping than any other shopping. Geez, it’s no more dangerous to do anything. It’s just a harsh flu. None of this crap went on with the Hong Kong flu in ‘68. But we were more free then. Maybe the difference is the entire Rat party and multinational businesses are beholden to China.
“I really want to know why Walmart gets to stay open during this Rat shutdown in PA and small mom and pop retailers dont.”
I believe it’s more widespread than PA. I just heard Devin Nunes on Judge Jeanine saying that Newsom has made decrees in certain parts of California. Big conglomerate retailers can be open, but mom-and-pops don’t have permission in certain areas, and they’re either dying or dead.
I haven’t looked closely, but I have a feeling that the districts with GOP Congressmen are the ones facing the strictest shut-downs.
Commercials for Coronavirus?
Yuck, glad I’m missing those.
