Facebook has a pretty good Leave it to Beaver fan page. Larry Mondello contributes frequently with stories about the show.

    Towering. Cultural. Icon.
Rest easy, Mr. Osmond; and thank you for your sacrifice as a police officer.
Wow, does that show generate the memes or what?! Just a few:

In real life, Frank Bank (who played Lumpy, and passed away several years ago) was a financial guru and handled investments for Ken Osmond and Jerry Mathers, among others. He also authored a memoir and claimed to have slept with over a thousand women. For what it’s worth...

I understand that but couldn’t he been allowed by the LAPD to accept acting roles on his time off? I’m sure they allowed Jack Webb to cast real LA cops for Adam-12 and Dragnet.

June Cleaver (to Eddie): "What movie are you going to see today, Eddie?"

Eddie: "Spartacus. I'm a great student of history, Mrs. Cleaver, and I want to see if there are any inaccuracies.

Years ago when my boys were still in grade school some neighbor kids came over to play. Made them all sandwiches for lunch. One I nicknamed Eddie. He raved about the sandwich and kept and on about how good it was. Reminded my of Eddie. Went way overboard for a bologna sandwich.

“Is Theodore home.” Many of us would not have gotten in some of the trouble we did if it were not for a Eddie Haskell type.
Meanwhile, we can tell something of the average age of FR posters (I am 68) when you see 108 posts to this thread!

Beaver was the one that was always creating situationsThis I learned at Mother's knee, that Beaver lacked a moral compass. Anyone could talk him into anything and admission of guilt was always a last resort for him.
