This is just unbelievable. Millions of Americans suffering and Federal workers getting full pay for doing NO work during all of this is just beyond the pale. They take our tax dollars while we’re going broke and go on with their merry lives. No wonder all government workers are in favor of the lockdown.
It reduces the general population’s financial status and makes them subservient to the government, or else. It also makes people more open to accepting horrible stimulus payouts which will make them further dependent on the government. I can not find the words....
So with some workers there’s no change
They should be working from home, or on unemployment like everyone else. This is very disturbing, and will lead to them not wanting to go back, because they are quite happy sitting around at home trying for paychecks while the rest of us struggle with bankruptcy and all.

Right. There would be a whole lot more anger at this lockdown if all those fed workers in NORVA and MD were not being paid.
With a lot of these Fedzilla “workers”, it would be a blessing that they aren’t actually “working”. And by “working” I mean f**king up Americans’ lives and livelihoods. Better yet would be to let them, for once, experience this thing in we in the private sector have to face all the time when things get dicey. It’s initials are R.I.F.
I’m convinced the majority of those wailing for eternal lockdowns know where their next grocery funds and rent/mortgage check are going to come from.

Why, don’t you know that they are essential workers.
I worked for the Veterans Administration for 24 years as a pharmacist. When we had a government shutdown I, nurses, docs etc. as essential showed up and worked. We got paid for it when the shutdown was over. This was okay with me. We had a duty to care for the patients.
The damn paper pushers were considered non essential and just stayed home for a week or two. When the shutdown was over they also received pay for work they did not do! The paper pushers are the progressives and not the workers. A shut down is supposed to hurt. Those leftists loved it!
They gotta keep the party going somehow!
Any question why they want to keep the shutdown going?
Should not homeowners be receiving refunds on their property taxes for public school services not delivered?
How is federal workers not working a loss to the economy?
What do they produce which adds to the economy?
I am still getting my social security checks on time.
I can’t speak for other agencies, but I work for the DOC and we are all at home working. Same work requirements as in the office, no change at all.
It probably depends on whether the agency had a telework program in place beforehand. I can’t believe a paper processing bureaucracy like the IRS couldn’t do telework.
Who says they aren’t working? How do you know?
My husband and his coworkers certainly are working. I know how many hours per day he is closed off in his office here. I hear him on the phone with others who are available to discuss issues that arise without having to be tracked down or called back. I hear him teleconferencing. I see exactly how much time he takes for lunch.
You may know of a few people. You don’t begin to know it all.
I can double down on that: I know a deaf person who got an IRS job.
To accommodate her deafness, it requires another employee, so I assume both of them are still getting paid. Yes, your tax dollars “at work.”
