I wouldn’t have agreed 15 years ago on homeschooling but have been coming around what with public schooling nosediving. With CV, bet there are many kids who will not be returning to the classroom. Online learning will be booming.
Greatly surprised to see lib Austin ISD (TX) is considering inviting back only a chosen 25% of its students in the fall. Just the ones who need face to face time so we know who those will be and the ADA has its laws. The suburb school districts are looking at a combination of classroom and computer learning to cut back on so many students in rooms.
Maybe our ridiculously high school taxes will drop. Naw, that’ll never happen.

LOL - don’t hold your breath. Anyway, this is the FIRST TIME in my lifetime, and probably yours, that the majority of parents actually get to see, first hand, what is being taught to their kids. It has to be an interesting experience for many of them - equivalent to having a live video/audio feed into classrooms (something that the ‘teachers’ would NEVER permit).
Yet, Fauxi and Birx think a vaccine will stop it.
Notice that was a mink farm so those poor animals are kept in close quarters and cages. We all know puppies from puppy farms have diseases so no surprise with mink farms. Still, bet it was a human that transferred the virus to the animals same as the people's pets in China got sick because they were locked in the same tiny apartment with their sick owners.

Ugh, not just holiday folk next door but I see holiday folk the house two doors down. I noticed the tourists started coming in yesterday. Can’t wait to see all the CV they’ll bring in. They’ll be at our grocery store, gas stations, boat rentals, restaurants and tourist destinations and they’ll leave behind the virus for the local housekeeping workers. Rinse and repeat the next weekend and the weekend after, etc.
Do you live near a local jail or state prison. Those use radio communication so that sounds likely. There should be a published list for inmates you could check for the names or do a search for those names. Check the local news station sites for reports. Look on facebook for your police/sheriff’s dept. for the inmate list or maybe you have a local fb site that posts crimes or scanner calls.
What sort of meds are being said? That should help. Perhaps it’s the Health Dept. with CV cases.
But, but! They’ve told us it isn’t on our food!!! Raise your hand if you believed that.

I’ve left home once (not my choice) but wasn’t face to face contact. Hubby has left a half dozen times. Maybe those people caught it from someone in their home who went out or who came to their home.
Those people likely brought in their mail every day so they could have caught it from the mail or touching the mailbox. If the mailbox is an apartment or community type, then lots of people could have touched it.
Perhaps a food or package delivery person was infected.
They could have spoken to a neighbor across the fence and it drifted to their side of the fence.
Heck, there’s lots of ways to pick it up without leaving your property. The weak links are mail and deliveries. And then there’s the grandkids coming over.
Wait, and children? That sounds more and more like CV quarantine cases.
Do you live near the border or an illegal holding complex?
If it’s all kids then maybe a juvenile detention.
I wipe down everything from the store while wearing gloves but that doesn’t mean I’m getting everything nor does it mean everything is dying or that it didn’t drift onto something else. Perishables can’t stay outside. We can only do the best we can in our homes and hope for the best.
IOW, the blood takers will be spreading it door to door.
And the big question is who knows what tests and data collection will be done with it.

That’s a good idea. If it comes on again, I’ll look up the name. It’s on the fire/ems dispatch not police or sheriffs office. I’ve never heard them do this before.
They don’t name meds, just things like “we have medication for the Colton boys”, etc. (made up name, I didn’t make a note of any of the names)

I agree. We wipe everything down as best we can. I have them deliver on a sunny day and non perishables sit in the sun for several hours, then get wiped down. I still cook everything and wash my hands after handling. The only foods we buy that we can’t cook is dairy and I don’t know how safe that is. I assume/hope packaged cheeses are safe. You can only do what you can do.
I will be able to produce my own dairy again in July, but there are some folks out there (not experts or anything) that predict even small farm animals are not safe (that at some point it will be in the wildlife). I sure hope not, that would be a nightmare.
