Key points:
-Typically, the body’s cells have two groups of virus-fighting genes: interferons and chemokines
-Interferons are ‘call-to-arms’ genes that interfere with the virus’s ability to multiply itself
-Chemokines are ‘call-for-reinforcements’ genes that call for immune cells to go the site of an infection so they can target and destroy the virus
-Coronavirus blocks interferons, allowing the virus to replicate, but chemokines still get the call to go to the site of infection
-This overproduction of immune cells leads to over-inflammation and causes dangerous cytokine storms, in which the body attacks its own tissues
-Researchers say this could lead to treatment that focuses on restoring the pathway being blocked by coronavirus

Small sample, but intriguing!

“Further evidence that common cold coronavirus could protect against COVID-19.
In this paper from Cell, 40-60% of blood samples from 2015-2018 demonstrated T-Cell reactivity to the current disease as a result of previous exposures to common-cold coronavirus. “

Here is my plan to fight Covid19.
1) Boost my immune system daily with C (2000mg), D (mine is ok), Zinc (35mg), Quercetin (1200mg) and NAC (1200mg). I also take K2, Tumeric, fish oil, red yeast rice, cordyceps.
2) If I get Covid19, I go to CORSINATION.COM to get my HCQ + Zpack since my PCP already said she wouldn’t prescribe them.

btw, as far as ordering stuff that has to be delivered to you..best luck I am having is with Amazon.

Fedex took 6 days of sitting IN MY TOWN to deliver a package. It kept being moved from trailer to trailer because they couldnt bring it inside. Talked to their investigation branch and they recommended not ordering anything right now.lololol

Now, we have more cases. Hope we don’t turn into Mason, TX.

I took some tomatoes to a neighbor “geared” up. My other neighbor who is a Rush Limbaugh addict, starts yelling mocking comments at me. I yelled back, “I’d rather err on the side of caution”

China stocks up food and oil supplies as coronavirus spurs fears about shortages

“People there (in China) are panicked that coronavirus will eventually shut down the world’s ports, making it impossible for them to import,” said Arlan Suderman, chief commodities economist for INTL FCStone in a tweet on Monday. “As such, they are hoarding supplies now while they are cheap and available.”

A month after Governor Kemp announced the reopening of Georgia and easing of restrictions, the Mayor of Atlanta has unveiled her “reopening” plan. Looks like the city of Atlanta will remain shut down with economic restrictions for a long time.

That’s a very informative article about the virus. Explains a lot.
Very accessible to us non-professionals too.

“Outside report”

Had to replenish my necessaries so off to the big city to the liquor store and another stop.
Masks on staffs, 6 ft marks on the floors. First time I’d seen that. Sneeze guards at the cashiers.
It was all new to me.
And the windshield wipers cost 40 bucks!

It wasn’t coronavirus on the keyboards back in the far far distant past when hubby was the admin in the micro lab.

It was other stuff.

And there was a protocol for disinfection that had to be followed.

“People blew their tops when I said early the world needed to be locked down for 21 days to kill off CV once and for all.”

LOL - reminds me of all the conservatives who complain and complain about public schools (me included). And then when those government institutions are finally shut down due to the virus, they complain about that (not me, I think it’s the single greatest benefit of the virus).

I was thinking about the FluBro response: “Thanks, but where do I find masks for my hamsters?”

“Well, to their credit, they said it is less transmissible, no intransmissible, from surfaces. I find that to be a relief, since I now don’t feel like I must clean and disinfect doorknobs, surfaces, recycling bin lid, etc.* as though my OCD were raging out of control.”

I know of one place where Pink Eye was actually traced to shared keyboards, so it can happen, at least with that disease. And it makes some sense, because not only do you constantly touch keyboards, you also breathe on them for hours at a time, and most people, even healthy, sneeze a bit. But pretty much everything else...not happening unless a sick person happens to sneeze on it. And for that wear gloves when putting food away and let the mail sit for a day or two.

Even having said that, we do suit-up with masks and gloves the few times we go indoors to shop, and we let mail sit for 24 hours. We also do invite people over, but they stay outside, and downwind - and if they need a bathroom they have 2 options (Option A, which I prefer not to discuss, or Option B, which is to leave). So far, so good.

“Asked why he didn’t wear a mask (during floor tour..... “I didn’t want to satisfy the press seeing me wear one.””

The Democrats are DYING to get a picture of Trump with a mask, so as to use it against him in November. And he’s much smarter than The Loser or John Kerry, who both had pictures taken with uniforms/clothing that made them look like TOTAL IDIOTS.
