As New York City residents ventured outside to enjoy a sunny Saturday, police sent 1,000 officers to ensure they abided by social distancing rules that remain in place to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
"This is the nicest weather we've seen this year; we encourage people to come out and enjoy this weather," Terence Monahan, Chief of Department for the New York Police Department, told NBC News.
But, he reminded residents out enjoying the city's parks, "You cannot gather; you cannot barbecue. We're going to give you a summons. There's been enough warnings."
He said the NYPD would have bike teams and mounted units on horseback throughout the parks, as well as aviation units working to spot problem areas.

And just think of how many piles of road apples the horses deposit all over the parks. Let a civilian try and ride a horse and see what happens.

I believe the RAT governors and mayors are dragging this out so there’ll be no presidential debates with audiences. They used to come up with lame excuses, but they don’t even bother with that any more.
We think/hope we’ve seen the end of masks and social distancing; we haven’t.
Where are these insane policies ingrained in law? I can understand a merchant forcing individuals to comply or banning service like no shoes no service but outside on my property I don’t see where the state says I cannot have a house party.

You’re right. The Constitution assures the freedom to assemble. As long as the assembly is on your property, it’s OK. Making a guideline to forbid a gathering is NOT a law, and idiots think it is. And arrests will be made by fascist thugs.
When/if this ends, I hope there’ll be hundreds of lawsuits by people whose rights were trampled on.
This is going to end up looking like the dark days of Obama’s administration. As it gets hot in these blue inner cities, how are the local despots going to control them? I’m sure the thugs in Harlem or Watts or Henderson, Mo. have turned into perfect law abiding citizens when it comes to quarantine mega over reach.
