Jemian, your story about the MAF pilot’s death took me on a little journey.
Many years ago, we used to support JAARS (Jungle Aviation and Radio Services) out of North Carolina, which used to fly missionary support missions worldwide and train pilots for that work.
JAARS used to work, and still does, in tandem with Wycliffe Bible Translators.
The plane that crashed, the Quest Kodiak, was designed with input from MAF and JAARS, specifically for short take-offs and landings on unimproved airstrips, the kind you would experience in remote places in the world.
I remember a dear friend, now with the Lord, served a short missionary stint with JAARS in North Carolina as a short term missionary. This would have been back in the mid 1970s.
Thank you for jogging my memory about the unsung work of these missionary pilots around the work. The work is hard and dangerous, but vital,to support missionary work in very remote areas.
Anyone else wonder if Weijia Jiang of CBS is actually a CCP agent?

Our Testing is the BEST in the World, by FAR! Numbers are coming down in most parts of our Country, which wants to open and get going again. It is happening, safely!
Now that there is COVID-19 in the White House, I wish that President Trump would start having the reporters offsite. They can send their questions by video just like in the town hall meeting at the Lincoln Memorial.
