Flubros and Flubras! Day 42 (a place for Flubros and Flubras)

It’s just the flu, bro.

How can this level of tyranny be justified for what is really just the flu? Even though this overblown Wuhan flu crisis isn’t over, just think of the next virus pandemic when some children might actually die. The media will clamor for another lockdown - politicians will react accordingly because they don’t want the blood of the children on their hands. They now have the blueprint for obtaining more socialism in the future.

This social distancing is not natural. Anything that involves widespread, sustained and significant deviations from natural human behavior will lead to terrible consequences. And whoever suggests this deviation is likely a leftist tyrant.

Newsom is an idiot and closing California beaches because of Wuhan flu is idiotic. Is it truly healthier to be stuck in your home all day or to be out in the sun? At least some steps toward freedom are happening in some Red states - let’s keep the progress coming there.

Who expected to become a fan of Elon Musk and Sweden before this started? A Flubro commented recently that he will never make fun of Sweden again.

It’s gotten worse. He is now actively undermining Trump by running off to some lamestream reporter to undercut whatever the “reopen America” message was for that day.

Perhaps he’s trying to get fired.

Simpler solution is that the First Rule of the Coronavirus Task Force becomes that NO ONE TALKS about the Coronavirus Task Force.

Pence speaks for them all. No one else goes near the media.

:: We clearly must stay locked down until at least Nov. 4. ::

More than that, we must protest from our couches in order that
Humphrey can gain enough traction to beat Nixon on Nov. 4!
That’s the only way that our frontline care-givers will stop being shot at by COVID-19 Khmer Rouge.

I thought Pence had told him to keep his yap shut a couple weeks ago.

If he’s trying to get fired, it would only be for a timely book deal.

Those are the same old broken records. Throw out some bogus numbers and insults and head off to the bunker to watch “Red Dawn.” They like the part when the young womens show up.

I’m with you on the restaurant opening. Our local cafe where all the old timers meet is supposed to open the dining room tomorrow. They have been offering drive through service, but I dont go for just the food. I like to sit and have a cup of coffee with the folks and visit with the waitresses and find out the latest gossip and county news. I tend to learn something new every time I go in there. They do have excellent pie as well. I also bet there will not be masks except for patrons that choose to wear them but I will report back tomorrow.

On the outside, they are appear to be a quality meat-derived product. But when you pull the ring and look inside, you find a steaming pile of #*&% that has all the appearance of soylent green.

I know.
I was mocking him and, as a courtesy, I pinged him so that he could read my biting commentary about him.
I’m nothing if not courteous.

Whoa! Over the top. You need to not be calling other Freepers names.

which isn’t even as deadly as the Swine Flu that Obama saw over not 10 years ago

62,000 dead in a little over a month. That is much worse than the swine flu. Much worse than any flu except the 1918 flu.

If Pence told him to shut his yap he sure ain’t complying.

Small example: Trump speaks publicly about sports returning and the day when we can all sit in stadiums again.

Hardly a day goes by till Fauci runs to The Hill and says THIS.

https://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3840004/posts

And there has been a pattern of him doing this repeatedly.

It’s what Washington bureaucrat weasels do when they are losing an internal policy debate. They speak to the press (or leak something) to try and put their opponents in a corner. And Fauci has been playing the Washington Weasel Game for 52 years.

Very disappointed that Trump apparently has not caught on.

Also, have you seen this?

Donald J. Trump

Despite reports to the contrary, Sweden is paying heavily for its decision not to lockdown. As of today, 2462 people have died there, a much higher number than the neighboring countries of Norway (207), Finland (206) or Denmark (443). The United States made the correct decision!

"Are there no clutchers left who want to play? "

Hockey Stick McGee is on other threads this morning, badmouthing Flu Bros/Bras while presenting yet another set of slick graphs. I guess he's looking for new converts in which to instill panic, fear and more. And he's hollering at individuals on those threads who are questioning his dogmatism.

Exclude the 12,000 non confirmed deaths from 3 states Number is 48,000

Here we go again with this bullsh*t. People want to use different standards just because it fits what they wish to believe.

Last year's flu statistics say between 30,000 and 60,000 deaths from flu. Did anyone test those bodies? How do we know?

No. You don't f***ing need to test the bodies of people who die during a massive epidemic. The probabilities are quite high that the disease killed them.

The Number is 62,000 in a little over a month, and stop trying to minimize it just because it is what you wish to believe.

This is probably the most accurate count of deaths from a disease this nation has ever seen. We don't test all the bodies that die during past flu epidemics either. We certainly didn't test the bodies in the 1918 flu, or the Typhoid epidemics, or the Polio Epidemics, or the Small pox epidemics.

If abnormal numbers of people died during these epidemics, they were counted as victims of the epidemic, unless it was obvious the death was from some other cause.

This disease causes heart attacks and strokes in people. It is unlike any other virus we have ever seen.

Yup. Trump has said this repeatedly. “We made the right decision”.

At this point I think the political liabilities of admitting that he got duped by Bozo the Modeler are far worse than just plowing ahead with a reopening.

Dr. Tony has been singularly unhelpful with the latter.

That guy can sure crank out the graphs.
Gotta give him credit for being good at that.

I never could. Takes me forever. My ninth-grade geometry teacher told me that I should become a draftsman and get paid by the hour.

It is unlike any other virus we have ever seen.

It's the Chuck Norris of viruses. It can survive intact, outdoors in sunlight, in 90+ degree heat, for 16 days in a row, be napalmed twice, and then jump a distance of 5 feet 11 inches into my cat and make his kidneys explode.

At least that's what the ChiCom propaganda in the AP tells me.

I believe it is obvious that our only option is a COMPLETE lock down until we all die. We should stay in our closets 24/7 until we expire...no food, no bathroom breaks, no water, no medicine, no clothing, no talking...no nothing. Total darkness and silence, then eternal darkness. That is the only realistic answer.

If it saves one life...

I don't think exaggeration (or mockery) helps anything.

UV in sunlight destroys the virus quickly. It can linger in air for up to 3 hours, and survive on plastic or stainless surfaces for up to 3 days. It dies on a copper surface within 30 minutes.

It is also extremely contagious, and easily infects people in close proximity to each other. It often remains asymptomatic for 14 days. Some people never develop symptoms.

It causes micro embolisms, heart attacks, strokes, pneumonia, and various other dangerous conditions. Some races tend to have greater immunity to the bug than others.
