A fact that has come out of this CV hoax and the GW hoax is that people in government who claim that they are acting on behalf of science are leftists. They try and use their PhD to promote their leftist causes at every turn. Just look at University professors - 90% Democrat. This should be a learning experience for Trump and all future Republican presidents - when you come into office replace every single one of these supposedly politically neutral scientists with a scientist who you trust. If a Democrat appointed the scientist then the scientist is a leftist, guaranteed.
One PhD I trust is Dr. Ned Nikolov (he is on twitter and is great to follow). He has been debunking both the CV and GW hoaxes. He actually read through WHO reports showing in 2019 that general lockdowns during pandemics were ineffective. Then that same organization comes out with recommendations for a lockdown during CV. The leftist scientists in WHO, and in our government, want anything that brings about socialism and they must be stopped.
They’re no more a “doctor” than I am. Complete fake paid trolls. It is just that simple.

When millions don’t die, some people are going to be secretly disappointed. You’re correct, part of it is the human nature of not wanting to admit to accepting new data that does not fit with previous conclusions.
The other part is a deep seated need with some people that to feel significant, they want to think they lived during an historically significant time. They get very upset if you tell them, no, historically this virus is not the equivalent of the bubonic plague, the Antonine plague, polio, or smallpox.
I completely agree with you which is truly why I began with all due respect. I might disagree with some thjnfs you say you at least can back it up with reasonable argument. The reason why I truly try to educate the others is because their hysteria plays into the hands of those how choose not to analyze or study or truly understand. Hysteria is a greater threat to freedom than anything ther could be used as an agent of war. We have come back from devastating wars because we were not afraid and true believers in our freedoms.
Even if this were no mortality, my beliefs that we should answer in kind...a small (1 kt) mushroom cloud over the lab where we know this was released from would be an appropriate response. Were I president (and perhaps trump is doing this) I would be running down the BioWar angle like a hungry pit bull.
