It begins. Over 1700 “contact tracers” to be deployed in Ohio. The Interrogations begin. Guess your morph.
Thanks. Wife needs them for her patients to wear while in office.
I think we’re all sick of it and people are getting frustrated. But if he doesn’t understand what’s happening, or wasn’t prepared for all of this, then much of his frustration is due to his own failures and ignorance.
CT is a good idea, especially for asymptomatics. Some of whom present with no shortness of breath but hypoxic all the same. Did their infection go straight to the brainstem and suppress reflexes? Would a CT help differentiate whether it’s viral debris in the aveoli or blood clotting (or both) that is interfering with blood flow and oxygenization thru the lungs? There are several companies that produce bed-site CTs which minimize transport and so contain infection better than wheeling gurneys around the hallways. Has this resource been underutilized? (I.e., if this is a cost issue, what was that cost vs that of defective/iffy testing?)
I suggested Brilinta (or its competitor) a few weeks ago as an alternative to heperin. It’s not a cheap drug, $500/mo retail, or a fast drug, but it does work to mitigate clotting and is heart-protective. Surely the company can contribute to a trial or three outside their normal ‘patient assistance’ trials? What does Astra-Zeneca say about the usefulness?
see also Dr. Seheult’s lecture on Diffusion Abnormality. He starts the walkthrough about 11 min in, covering V/Q and Shunting abnormalities, and then contrasts those with Diffusion Abnormality at about 22 min in. It would seem DA is what is happening. With drawings:

Ordered. Interesting site. Thank you.
Beware - I have since found out that even though labeled on Amazon as Based in the USA, these masks are actually made in Wuhan, China.
Im going to hang each one in the sunlight for a day before wearing.
Pelosi did that on purpose as sure as she tore up those papers. Who followed her to the podium?
AOC tearing off her mask in typical hot-head fashion and the waving it around as she pounded the air like a spoiled brat stomping their foot in the toy store, was also pretty stupid.
It took me 14 days to receive a first-class letter mailed from a post office downtown. Sorters are out sick.
Packages could be stolen if they have temps working. Usually lifers don’t do that kind of stuff. They have their pension to worry about.
All temps at my bank now. A crew of strangers in uniforms. Good, though. Probably all bonded, if they still do that.
I posted an article about this Amazon mislabeling on the site at:

I should have researched this before. Sorry.
There’s a lot we don’t know about it, for sure. Diarrhea that many complain of can be from too much vitamin C, just for one possibility.
Wow, Ive been following Jennifer Zeng for months now and find her very believable.
What a scoop if true! If so, we should all start donating megabucks to her!
i could see them waiting until the weekend to disclose this.
and another reason for trump not to take questions today
Ok. Thanks. Into the sterilizer.
Seriesly?

Coronavirus Update: Two-thirds of seriously ill COVID-19 patients didn’t have fever, study finds
With New York being the epicenter for the virus in the U.S., researchers from the state’s largest health care system moved quickly to document findings that would help others identify and treat COVID-19 patients. One thing stood out in the study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
“The most surprising finding to me was that two-thirds of the patients who were seriously ill with an active infection did not have a fever,” said senior researcher Karina Davidson, PhD.
Fever is the first symptom doctors look for, but Davidson said the sickest patients didn’t present with a fever.

Shopping report:
Wife and I went for our weekly grocery run, and to the local feed store, today. We noticed more traffic, also more shoppers and store workers wearing masks - even brawny guys at the feed store loading dock were wearing masks.
Milk at the grocer was plentiful. We were able to buy as many gallons as we wanted. So we bought three gallons, and will freeze 2.
One of the local seafood restaurants had a 10 lb special of steamed seafood with all the fixins bagged and available for pickup. We splurged and had a steamed seafood dinner at home tonight.
People we interacted with today seemed genuinely more friendly and helpful. Life goes on...
I’ve seen other reports of no fever, but with other symptoms present, like low oxygen levels, etc. This is a very weird pathogen...maybe different strains have varying symptoms? My niece is doing much better. She’s practically back to her old mischievous self again. :)
