Thoughts?

The more days pass by, and the 'better' things get, it seems the blue states crack down even more, and they act like there's never going to be another election in which they'll have to answer for any of it.

Why is this new drug so hot when a 60 year old drug and a vitamin is doing so much better?

I'm with Rush on all of this. This makes zero sense, and these severe actions banning assembly and commerce are being done with zero legal authority.

Starting to get a little pissed here.

Because first scientific study of chloroquine showed that it is not a solution.

Because despite what you read hydroxychloroquine is not that impressive in hospitalized patients. Because remdesivir specifically targets the corona virus mechanism. Because. we need a way to treat vented patients that works. That’s why

it is good for doctors to have options. If one drug causes bad side effects, it is good to have an alternative to use

From reports I’ve heard from the “experts”, Remdesivir is MUCH more expensive than the HCQ/Zink/Z-pack solution, even though the HCQ solution probably is better. (This is when we want to see the investment portfolios of the experts.)

And one more thing: The push for MASSIVE TESTING.

Seems to me that the people who were too smart to volunteer their DNA to 23 and Me are now going to be compelled to contribute to a national DNA database in order to go out and buy a loaf of bread.

EVERYONE on TV, and most politicians are screaming that they can’t open the economy unless everyone agrees to give up their DNA, which is of course tied to your SSN (unless you’re here illegally, which means you’re above the law so you’re good).

That smells even worse. Nobody is even pushing back on it. I’m very much opposed to donate my DNA to a national database, and that’s what state mandated Wuhan Flu testing is all about.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over.

Because Big Pharma can make a Mint of $ on the new drug whereas they get zip with a cheap drug that has been out there for decades. Also, the new drug wasn’t suggested by Trump.

Sadly, we are surrounded by corrupt and evil democrats, including those portraying themselves as media. The president was so hopeful when he heard about the hydroxy (I suspect on Ingraham Angle) that he naively started to talk about it. He didn’t realize that the left hates him so much that they don’t even care if people die - they will fight whatever he promotes. He should have come out warning people not to try this drug.

His fingerprints are not on the Remdesivir, specifically, YET. Perhaps one drug works better on certain symptoms, and another drug on other symptoms. I have also heard that flipping patients over onto their stomachs does wonders as well. Between all of these remedies, it should remove much of the media-induced fear and panic that’s out there.

Many bogus studies out now testing HCQ without Zinc and Z-Pack. Surprise surprise, results are “not as effective” . We’re seeing the dark underbelly of politically-profit driven medicine.

Because there’s no money in a $20 cure that’s been off patent for a number of years. Compare that with the cost of Remdesivir which is “new” and on patent. I’ve read $1000/dose.

It would appear that the hydroxychloroquine/Zithromax regimen is most beneficial when begun in the earliest stages of the infection. Best results when given with the onset of fever and cough before the development of shortness of breath and pneumonitis and long before a confirmatory COVID-19 test can be reported. Many frontline physicians have noted not only clinical improvement but a decline in C Reactive Protein , which is a marked of inflammation and probable infection. The armchair scientists and epidemiologists will never concede or certify such a clinical approach, label all reports as antidotal, until there are prospective and retrospective studies to ponder and confirm. They loathe ethical Edisonian empiricism which historically has been at the core of medical advances.

The Democratic governors who are denying access to Hydroxychloroquine by making it nearly impossible for primary care physicians to timely prescribe and pharmacists to dispense have blood on their hands and ought to be held accountable.

It is hoped remdesivir would kill the virus as opposed to the zinc just stopping the replication of the virus inside the cell.

Remdesivir is what doctors want to push as a treatment. It's the newest greatest thing, so therefore it has got to be better than something 60-plus years old. Besides Orange Man Bad and he pushed that other stuff, so we can't have that. And you can bet Remdesivir cost much more than that old stuff.

The reason it is touted is it is a new medicine, whose patent has not expired, and companies are set to make $$$...HCQ patent expired a long time ago, it is dirt cheap.
