Thanks, been wondering about this. Might try the beer bread.
Another easy fix for bread needs is the two ingredient biscuits...just self-rising flour and heavy whipping cream (though flour is hard to find in some areas now too).

You can make yeast
with fruit and water. You can also make Sourdough starter
with flour and water. Even though the recipe I linked to calls for whole wheat or rye flour you can do it exactly the same way with all purpose flour.

Pick up some
saccharomyces boulardii at the drug store or health food store. It's genetically identical to baking yeast. They package it in capsules and call it a "probiotic" for gut health. Open a couple of capsules and use it like regular yeast.

Beer Bread
3 cups self rising flour
3 Tablespoons sugar
4 sticks of butter
13 12oz can of ice-cold beer
Crack open and chug two of the beers.
Mix the flour, butter, and sugar together. Chug two more beers.
Pour the flour slurry into a greased loaf pan. Pour two beers into a funnel and put the funnel into your mouth. Chug.
Bake 45-55 min at 350 degrees, setting the timer to go off in one minute increments and do a shot of beer every minute.
Chow down and pass out, being careful there is nobody nearby with a Sharpie.

Props to Donkey Odious for being a good sport. FReegards.
