Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and President Donald Trumps top adviser on matters related to the coronavirus, said in a January interview that the virus was not a major threat to the U.S.
Bottom line. We dont have to worry about this one, right? Newsmax anchor Greg Kelly asked Fauci on January 21.
Obviously, you need to take it seriously, and do the kinds of things that the CDC and the Department of Homeland Security are doing, Fauci responded. But, this not a major threat for the people of the United States, and this is not something that the citizens of the United States right now should be worried about.
**SNIP**
Fauci made similar comments in February, saying the threat to the U.S. from the coronavirus was minuscule. By early March, Fauci had changed his tune, saying the virus could be really, really bad, but still said he believed the situation could be MITIGATED.
I dont think its gonna be, because I think wed be able to do the kind of mitigation. It could be mild. I dont think its going to be that mild either. Its really going to depend on how we mobilize, he said at the time.

Fauci and crew have been setting up Trump and the US from the start.
He wasn’t on stage yesterday, let’s hope they are finding a way to flush him out of their system.
If one is looking for a scapegoat to pour their anger on, then China should serve as a good target...and they know it because they are still hiding a lot of data.
Maybe Dr Fauci’s saying not many will die.

“Im looking at the state numbers. NY has ~103k cases CA ~13k. NY has almost 40% of all US cases. Both states have large international airports. I would have thought that CA would be worse off as geographically flights from China are more likely to go to CA.
We need to investigate how NY got so bad.”
In addition to getting the worse strain of WuhanVirus, NY has mass transit that is the main mode of transportation.
LA & CA does not, and got the less worse strain of the virus.
China holds ‘professional conferences’ like crazy (maybe every month, in all their large cities), as I get emails at work inviting me (never go, of course). My guess is that Fauchi and people like him did go, maybe went often. And when they did, they got wined and dined, BIG TIME, as I know that from people who actually went there as part of a large, international, project, over 20 years ago (I can only imagine what it’s like now).
And if they did go, they got to know Chinese ‘experts’ there and it became personal relationships, with trust between the people (or at least the Americans trusting their Chinese counterparts). So the virus breaks out, Taiwan yells WATCH OUT, THIS IS THE BIG ONE (mid January). And instead of taking Taiwan’s advice, they take the ‘advice’ of their ‘friends’ in China, who fully understand what’s good for their ‘health’, and good for the ‘health’ of their families over there.
...and so here we are.
The question that I’ll always wonder - if Americans and other Westerners had been FULLY INFORMED, and educated, as to just how bad and inhumane Communism was and still is - would our top people have been a bit more suspicious of China, especially when there were other countries disputing what they were saying?
Then again, some folks are big fans of the Chicoms -
The working class, socialism and the fight against the pandemic
There's his Clinton moment.
The dude is harder to nail down than nailing jello to the wall.
We could argue the first impeachment distracted from the early stages of the Chinese virus pandemic.
A new investigation definitely would.
Good point, I forgot how much NYC relies on subways for transportation. I would love to see if cities like Boston are having similar problems due to the reliance on the subway system as well, but I have not heard any apocalyptic from them like New York City yet.
