use potting soil in your containers...

Get that which is designated for garden use. Otherwise, much "potting soil" is made from Cali sewer plant sludge mixed with ground up plant cellulose and allowed to "cure" for a length of time before bagging.

I prefer to mix my own from bovine manure, peat moss, vermiculite, and play sand - all available from big box hardware outlets.

I was wondering the same thing. I love salads, but tomatoes aren’t my favorite.

DC

D.C. mayor issues order telling Washingtonians to stay home
Today, 05:10 PM
Bowser issues order telling Washingtonians to stay home, following directives in Md. and Va.

D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser (D) issued a formal stay-at-home order Monday afternoon, following similar directives from the governors of Maryland and Virginia. Her office said the new order “reinforces the Mayor’s direction to residents to stay at home except to perform essential activities.”

As in Maryland and Virginia, the D.C. order allows people to leave their homes for essential errands such as grocery shopping, essential travel, some outdoor recreation and to perform business and government functions deemed essential. Individuals who “willfully” violate the order face criminal penalties, including up to 90 days in jail and fines up to $5,000.

I have read a lot of projections by folks predicting hyperinflation, inflation, stagflation, deflation etc.

This stuff is just insanely complicated.

I don’t think anyone has the slightest clue how this will play out....

Update on MA healthcare workers:

More than 500 healthcare workers in Massachusetts have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a tally I’ve been keeping. The 5 hospitals with the most cases are listed below.

the nursing home clusters just churn my stomach. Who brought the infections into the homes? returning workers? if so, why weren’t precautions taken - like barring them from returning to work for two weeks. If visiting family - why weren’t precautions taken - like barring them from visiting? These are infections that were caught in March, not Feb, and likely after March 15. No excuse for dropping the ball on our seniors. None. Furious!

There’s been substantial, pent up and latent over valuation in every market for years. That provides deflationary pressure to go with the sudden work stoppage, worldwide.

And there’s also now some substantial inflationary pressure being applied with what appears to be unlimited printing.

No tellin’ the outcome.

Their last post is around midnight zulu time, 21:32 now, about 2.5 hours to go. Sometimes they’re later than that even.

Just in from Speaker Pelosi’s spox: “Following the announcement by Chairwoman Velazquez, the Speaker today consulted with the Attending Physician who found her contact to be of low risk and recommended the Speaker take no particular action.”

Governor of NJ...

“PLEASE NOTE: We have no plans to turn our gas stations into self-serve at this time.

Please DO NOT pump your own gas.”

Cracks me up, I guess it just seems silly.

I ordered an antibody test from https://www.raybiotech.com/covid-19-igm-igg-rapid-test-kit/

Ordered this past weekend. At that time, website said 2-4 days to ship. Today says “up to 2 weeks”.

Cost was $280 plus $75 fedex shipping. I think the kit contains 20 tests. (website initially shows $250 but changes to $280 if you select the Finger Prick option).

If someone wants to order, make sure you know what you are doing and the difference between IgG and IgM.
