Forcing a Depression on the county will be expensive in lives lost and lifespans shortened.

I totally disagree with the $2trillion bailout. That said, it is probably necessary in order to keep this President another 4 years. The economic situation in two years will be be bad and declining with no chance of an upturn if he is replaced by any conceivable Democrat socialist and there is no other kind now.

And some know what this thread is about and still spread their faggot, panic BS.

Is it something to be taken seriously? Yeah.

Is it something to act like a whiny, terrified b.tch over? No.

Is it something to keep printing Every Single Death over? Not nearly

And mid April Trump should tell everyone to get back to work.

BTW I am not a panic monger, except to the extent that panic is necessary to get people to jump off the track before the express train hits them in the dark of the night. I am very encouraged at the very preliminary indications over the last couple of days that we have broken out of an exponential increase.

But that does not mean, "pheww this is over" and we can go back to business as usual because you will just start up the same old exponential again, but now staring with a much larger more broadly seeded number of initial cases. Relax now and it could come at us a whole lot faster.

In other words we need to get the number of active cases way down, get them isolated and be able to track new cases aggressively.

And at the same time control entry on our boarders.

It will NOT fix the economy, any more than the Bush/Hussein Bailout fixed it in 2009. It will make less of the annual budget available for use for the military and all the entitlements etc because the amount that has to go to interest will necessarily become greater. And think, with everybody else’s economy in the dump, who’s got money to lend us? The alternative is Inflation which will cause the interest rates on The Debt to rise and make it difficult, possibly ipossible to repay. Default would end the American Project.

Correct. And if he goes against all conventional medical wisdom there WILL be a revolt. Guaranteed

Dr. Fauci tends to overstate the degree of the spread and intensity of the COVID-19 Wuhan virus, and his predictions of 200,000 deaths is a little premature. The total shall be nearer to a bad year for the various strains of the flu taken collectively. Several simultaneous developments will mitigate this assumption by a great deal, one of which is the more widespread adoption of the hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin protocol to essentially stop the growth of the viral population in its tracks and avert the collateral bacterial respiratory infections. Another is the collection of blood plasma fractions from recovered Wuhan virus victims, to provide a temporary immunity, and yet another is the development of an effective vaccine to extend a more permanent immunity to even contracting the disease in the first place. Heroic efforts to treat the most serious cases with the use of respirators and even hyperbaric oxygen therapy for those of whom are most severely affected shall become a rare and notable event.

Another side effect is to move most if not all our medical supply and pharmaceutical production chains as much as possible back onshore, and assure that the research efforts continue and are modified as necessary to provide a much quicker response in some future emergency.

And finally, the whole ideology that has supported “globalism” is finally put to rest, as it is only a more modern form of the concept of colonial exploitation that caused so much mischief and grief for several centuries preceding the 20th Century.

Same with Fauci...he just is adamant about his version of “sience” withiout much regard to caring about individual lives, a prime indicator of a totalitarian mind where inhumane acts are justified by “science.”

I do not trust either of them and believe they will try to prolong the epidemic right into November’s election. Meanwhile the media hype will keep trying to erode President Trumps approval rating.

At some point the president will have to override Birx and Fauci. But he is a smoothie at that. The media are already trying to create public disagreement between the President and his inhumane “scientists.”

I shouldn’t have said expensive - emphasis should have been how effective it is. What about the other part of the cocktail that sounds like penicillin?

Wrong. His medical advisors are helping to form his actions. Even if it was “public opinion” that means the public would NOT be in favor of flipping thr switch now, and it that is the case you are asking for 100 times th4 chaos you have now.

I am not overreacting - you just don’t care about it.

Yes, I find the useful information sooooo illuminating. How to make a Hazmat suit with wire and paper mache. Do goggles or sunglasses best prevent a virus but inhibit vision while watching television? Is coughing near people at grocery stores a moral way to keep them at bay? Was Howard Hughes right to wear Kleenex boxes on his feet?

Any questions, just subscribe to The Daily Mail.

I agree. I have my parents portfolio very defensive at the moment since they are just a year or two away from retirement. 50% cash, 20% P&G stock (they inherited a bunch), 30% variety of stock investments. I plan on re-deploying most of that cash later when the stock market craters.

‘BUT,and that’s a big but,if the people revolt,then all bets are off.’

it’s not a big if, it’s a ginormous if; the sheeple have never bleated so loudly as they are now, castigating those who dare show their faces outside their doors...some guy I know huffed and puffed that a group of bicyclists exhibited criminal behavior by going out for a ride yesterday, all four of them, and he was ‘in fear’ for his safety...anyone on this thread who condones that attitude, a pox on you...
