The CDC and FDA have much to answer for.
I think I also heard a claim about 5 million some time ago. The last two numbers I have heard were 15 million a few days ago and then today 21 million.
But what’s a few million missing people between friends?
Let’s even go with 5 million. That is about how many people were stuck in Wuhan when they closed it up. Coincidence? Did they just cancel all the phones still in Wuhan so nobody could report out? Have they done this wholesale in other provinces as well? Answers about this from someone would be swell.
Many coated and hard pressed papers repel moisture fairly well. A rough (very rough) guide might be to test the surface with a little water.

I thinks it’s slightly less than 150 degrees for 15 mins. to kills SARS. Don’t know if we know about CV but it’s a cousin of SARS.

If we had large numbers of asymptomatics or ‘recovered’ in California, contamination would have shown up in urgent cares as flus in the lull between the Jan 31 airlifts and the release from quarantine 14 days later - around Valentine’s Day.

I don’t think Trump is using the Unicorn Hunt dodge. IMO he is genuinely perplexed and grabbing at each new idea as it goes by. But, being Trump, he tells us in real time exactly what he is thinking at the moment. This is the antithesis of Presidential steadiness during an emergency.
Dr. Birx sounded like she was talking in circles and not answering truthfully. Other countries have done that so it wouldn’t be surprising here especially with all the new rooms being prepared and lines marked off in hallways.
Just stay home.
I think that’s when POTUS task force team date is up....I know several of our surrounding cities have a different date (4/3, I believe).
I ask, because I’m wanting a confirmation.
I’ve been running stuff (including a N95 mask) through our toaster oven on the “warm” setting, which comes to right at 165 deg. F, for 20 minutes, after a 5 minute “preheat”. Nothing has melted or been visibly affected in any way so far. Note however that this toaster oven runs the elements at a low setting on “warm” as opposed to cycling them full on, off, full on, etc., a lot. Radiant heat from “full on” elements in an on-off cycle in some ovens could be problematic for some items.

(For those not following this discussion, the Unicorn is someone who caught the virus, was fully recovered from it, and will therefore show antibodies as evidence. I am calling them “Unicorns” because they do not exist in any significant numbers—the virus has not been around long enough...If they did exist in large numbers they would be proof the virus is a nothingburger, since millions of people would have already recovered without incident, indicating herd immunity was almost at hand.)
But some states have stay home plans for a few days after.
