I think I also heard a claim about 5 million some time ago. The last two numbers I have heard were 15 million a few days ago and then today 21 million.
But what’s a few million missing people between friends?
Let’s even go with 5 million. That is about how many people were stuck in Wuhan when they closed it up. Coincidence? Did they just cancel all the phones still in Wuhan so nobody could report out? Have they done this wholesale in other provinces as well? Answers about this from someone would be swell.

it would have to be the CCP cancelling the phones, I don’t think ppl can do it on their own. Most were low-income limited data ones, weren’t they? Some could be foreign students but I don’t think 10M or even 5M students fled. Student airlifts have been under a few thousand and they only had a few days to get out commercial so maybe another few thousand?
